Is he a for real NBA player? Yep, and that's quite a thing to say about someone who was where he was just a week or so ago.

Is he a for real star who'll average 20+ over a season? Probably not, but time will tell.

It will last until Melo comes back and fucks the whole thing up. Mike D'Antoni should be fellating Lin for saving his job.

Jason Whitlock made a retarded "Asian Penis Joke" tweet about Lin saying something like "some lucky NY girl is going to feel two inches of pain tonight".

Nothing like a fat guy making a small dick comment.

Another week or so, and he will be back to his "usual" self.
Watching the Laker game last night- cracked me up how espn kept cutting to asian people in the crowd cheering this guy on.

Speaking of Lakers- Anybody try to listen to the Kamaniski(spelling) brothers?
Damn, those guys are so boring. Its like listening to paint dry.

Dude, my bar tonight, busy like any other Saturday night, had a ton of people wanting to see the game. Thing is, a TON of Asian Americans at the bar watching the Knicks/Wolves game.

We have Asian people all the time, of course, it's Brooklyn.

On a regular Sat night Knicks are background noise. Tonight was weird. Best part to "prove" it was that, after the game it was "shift change". Tons left after and were replaced by people who "just saw the game".

Good on those people. Not too many Asian Americans to root for in most sports.

Phenom type stuff. Hope he keeps it up.

He needs to cut down on his turnovers. As well as place a hit out on 'Melo. Him coming back is going to throw him out of his newly-discovered game as well as put the offense out of sync.

Dude has averaged 6 TO's a game.
That is actually an NBA record. 30 TO's in 5 games

James Dolan and the Knicks will make sure that Lin is the TOP priority to be resigned at the end of the year. You don't let an Asian brother escape the country's biggest stage to go play for the Kings or the Hornets/

If Dolan's smart, he'll keep Lin, even if it means unloading 'Melo at a discount bin price. (Which he should do anyway)

why are people getting carried by how this kid has played
only after 7 games?

7 games does not make a season.

if his stats are impressive at the conclusion of the reg season, then people can crown the young man.

ESPN is creaming their pants every minute of everyday with Lin stories.

i recognize the kid has been on fire, winning games and leading his team for the past 7 games, but that does not mean he deserves a multi year contract for millions and millions of dollars, at the expense of Melo.

Melo will just ball hog again, bring the numbers down for Lin

won't matter, the dudes worth the cash he will be getting

you enjoy ESPN doing the same stuff over and over and over again

something great is happening for NBA and its in New York..already Lin Hate? dude just wins!

dude is a complete unkown scores 28ppg, yea why cover that? brings Knicks from laughing stock to the main story of the league

7 or 8 games is not enough to tell if he's going to be a force for years to come.

He plays with energy, smarts, and he's aggressive. He probably has assured himself at least 5 years in the league even if he comes back to earth.

Now all we need is an asian hockey player and a black placekicker and the world will be truely colorless.

Dont forget that he is playing in a DiAntoni system that completely caters towards point guards. Just ask Steve Nash.

So why wasn't the Knicks' previous starting point guard playing as well as Lin?

He's obviously the real deal.

Who was their previous point guard?
Enough said. If you are a half way decent pguard, you will do well. Think about it- DiAntoni's system is one of getting the ball down court as fast as possible. What position on the court does that benefit? Duh!
I'm not saying he doesnt have the talent. I'm saying he isnt the next coming of Jesus Christ. The dude has never played more than 5 minutes in ANY NBA game, and now he is playing starter's minutes? He's not going to last. He is already commenting on the minutes he is playing.
And dont give me "in college he did". The college game & NBA game is completely different. Don't forget with more success the more he is going to be keyed on & banged on. Other teams will adjust.
And dont forget when Carmelo Anthony comes back.
The only reason he is getting so much press is because he is asian. David Stern & his asshats will exploit that beyond recognition.
Do you need me to go on?
