I do. I heard they're going to hand out Shawn Kemp's kids as halftime prizes.

They should move the Thunder back to Seattle, and give Oklahoma City either New Orleans, Charlotte, or Sacramento. Seattle has waited way too long to rebuild, they deserve that Thunder team.

I'd take it being in Eugene over Portland. Eugene's got Ems Stadium, which is a charming, Depression-era ballpark.

When Merritt Paulson bought the Beavers and got the Timbers MLS franchise I always wondered why Phil Knight never ponied up any money to help build a soccer stadium. Completely logical considering that Nike has been battling Adidas for the soccer footware/apparel market. I was told by someone with a little inside knowledge of the situation that Knight badly wanted a piece of the MLS stadium action but was told to cool it because they needed PGE park as the Timbers' new stadium in order to get the ball rolling for Major League Baseball. Now the Beavers are gone, the Timbers are doing great as Portland's second Major League sports franchise and the city is positioned as a viable market for baseball the next time a current franchise wants to move.

Except Portland ISN'T a "viable" baseball market.
This discussion has been going on for 30+ years and it's no more a baseball town NOW than it was back then.
They couldn't even support MINOR LEAGUE teams.
Never happen (MLB in P-Town).

So they get to keep the owners and the management too?
If Kansas City lost the Royals and they became fresh blood with Yankees talent would KC "deserve" that team?

If we get a team back, I don't want it to be under the circumstance of relocation. Having a team stolen from you is a rather lame thing to experience, and I would not wish that on any fanbase. Not even the Thunder.

I hate to see the Thunder doing so poorly. I know they wish they were still in Seattle.
