Throwing Shockey under the bus might be the only worthwhile words ever uttered by Sapp.

ETA Of course, Shockey denies it...

I don't blame a whistle blower here. Bounties are fucked up. You're talking about people's health. And for all the "warrior" and "battle" bullshit words that get tossed around in football, it's a game, a kids' game.
Bounties being fucked up or not still don't change the fact that Shockey is still a bitch. I'd support someone sweeping his knee.
I agree with Ratty, the Saints sure a hell arent the 1st team to do this. I figure it happens all the time. Fuck whoever it was who cried to Goodell.

I really don't give a fuck.

Saints are still 2010 champs, and the Colts still aint.

And now the Saints are fucked. Tough shit for them. I think the penalty is probably a bit overboard, but hey that's life.

Amazing how fast that paradise crumbled. Can they survive this year with god knows who in charge, and pick up next season?

easy won't be a huge drop off, they should go at least 11-5 at worst. Still think they will be #1 seed overall in NFC
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

Saints are like a Tecmo Bowl team, score score score
coach is great, but they will do just fine

a team that could have a big drop off would be Packers, they could go 10-6
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

Really?

With half their defense suspended for some or all of the season you think they'll just waltz into the NFC championsip? Yeah they score lots of points, but that defense is pretty bad when they aren't creating turnovers. And it's going to be a lot worse this year.

And we all know they can't win a playoff game on the road (the Saints are batting 000.0 on that lifetime) so 9-7 ain't gonna cut it going into the playoffs.

You also got a pissed off franchised Drew Brees who, whether or not he has a fantastic season would be a prized free agent next year. He might just be thinking that next year he should test the waters. Would make the Peyton Derby look like the courtship for Tiki Barber last year.

This is not going to be a great season for the Saints.

Marion Barber retired.
Dude played only 8 seasons, but his production began to suffer about
3 years ago.
The body took a vicious beating when he played with Dallas.
For the small time he was producing and for that 1 year he made the pro bowl, he was very tough and gave 1000%

Running Back continues to be the worst position to invest time and money into.

I don't blame teams for playing hardball with guys like Peyton Hillis or Matt Forte. It's pointless - good running backs are basically dime a dozen, and they are generally finished long before other elite position players.

Tim Tebow Sandwich Coming To Carnegie Deli

He's already got a beer named in his honor, so it would only make sense that Tim Tebow has a meal to go with it.

And in yet another example of how sports can bring people together, it is an iconic Jewish delicatessen that is paying homage to Tebow, the Christian poster boy.

On Friday, the Carnegie Deli in New York announced it will have a sandwich inspired by the Jets new backup quarterback. The Jetbow will be available on Monday, coinciding with Tebow's introductory press conference.

So what ingredients are worthy enough to go on a sandwich named in his honor? It starts with corned beef, pastrami and roast beef topped with American cheese, lettuce and tomato. The sandwich will be served on white bread, presumably because Tebow is about as white bread as they come.

"He's the poster boy for every parent and what they want their kids to be," owner Sandy Levine told ESPN New York. "Very religious, very clean-cut, an outstanding student, he does charity work. What more do you want as an athlete than him?"

The sandwich will cost a hefty $22.22, but at 3.5 pounds you won't need Tebow to help feed the masses with it. And just like its namesake, this creation breaks the mold. The Carnegie usually offers its celebrity sandwiches on rye bread with mustard. This concoction on white bread with mayo is the first of its kind at the Manhattan landmark.

The sandwich now puts Tebow up with such legendary New York figures as Woody Allen, who also has a pastrami classic named after him at the deli. Not too shabby for a guy who has been part of the city's sports landscape for less than 48 hours.

Rex Ryan might not know what to do with Tebow on the field, but he doesn't figure to have no problem handling the Tebow sandwich.

Also no word on when or if Mark Sanchez will ever get his own sandwich.

better then Fruity Pebbles Manning in Denver in his brightass orange shirt!!
