Reports are that he'll tell the judge he was just working on his audition tape for the next season of Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab.

I saw an interview he did with Jim Romes and he had me believeing he was a changed man. Nothing funny about drug addiction, imo.

^ Yea I remember either watching or hearing on the radio some interview he did awhile back after all the trouble he got into for stealing drugs from a player he was coaching and thinking he had turned a corner.

He released this statement through his publicist Friday night:

It was hard not to feel sorry for the Chargers. Virtually any other team that year would have drafted Leaf #2.

So he's the biggest bust in NFL draft history, and now he's also completely broke.

He's going the Art Schilister route. He'll be in and out of jail for the rest of his life most likely.

Hoping for the best for this guy. Hopefully with the guidance of Jesus Christ he can get his life back on track.

Anybody else find it strange that this dude still HAS a publicist?

I could see perhaps some kind of rehab/probation for the first arrest but to get arrested again just a couple of days later he's probably going to do some time.

Speaking of being a bust in the NFL since the Colts got Manning instead of Leaf wouldn't it be funny if Luck turns out to be just like Leaf lil pp would probably kill himself.

You never know how this shit will work out.

But NFL personell really should have known better with Leaf. This guy blew off his pre-draft interviews, was partying in Vegas...while Peyton was doing the "aww shucks" routine we all know and love today. It should have been pretty clear to people that Leaf's heart wasn't into it and his attitude just maybe wasn't what it should have been.

I hate this guy growing up in San Diego and still living in the area.He is like that piece of shit that you just can't flush down the toilet.

I remember seeing this guy in the late 90s in Vegas he was playing at a table with some of his friends at the MGM grand he was acting like a tool with his cowboy hat and wearing his own Jersey.

That's as bad as Chris Henry getting a DUI wearing his own jersey. Isn't wearing your football jersey on non-game days something you do in high school?
