I also red (here I think) that that chant used to be a chant to see which end zone could be the loudest. Then asshole came along and ruined it.

Every last Jets fan claims to hate Fireman Ed but the whole stadium indulges him.

My favorite - the "O!" at Baltimore Orioles games during the national anthem.

If you don't know this one, the whole stadium yells "O!" at the start of the "Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave" part of the song. It rules. It can also be heard at pretty much any Washington DC/Maryland area sporting event. At Capitols games they've started a "rockets red glare" thing so people who do O! are publicly browbeaten.

I was at the Yankees Orioles game in NYC a couple weeks ago and proudly did the O thing along with dozens of others. It was inspiring. And we actually won, too.

But back to the hate. Personally I can't stand the fucking Steelers fans and their yellow cum rags that they bring everywhere they fucking go. Fuck them.

I've been walking down Ventura Blvd in the middle of spring with a Saints shirt and a passing car honks their horn and the guy shouts out the windown "WHO DAT BABY!" and it's like...the middle of Spring. I love the Alabama Crimson Tide football team...but the only time you will hear me shout Roll Tide Roll is when some other jackass wants to throw out a "War Damn Eagle" or some other slogan...to me, when this happens, its fair game. The Tide has the pedigree to back up their obnoxious fans...especially in the South...no other SEC team can claim a pedigree any where near as impressive in college football...

If I understand this right, you generally hate that all the fans of all the teams you are physically surrounded by due to your home of choices location..because they constantly scream their fave teams "rally cries" or slogans...down here in the South, where College Football is the 2nd highest religion next to Christianity? And we are the fucked up people because we do show school pride, even to the point of bothering people...who cheer for teams outside not only the state of residence, but even the entire Region...gotcha.

Heres a thought...let it go. Or, conversely, join in...yell back in your most annoying voice the rally cry of Syracuse...whatever that may be.
