For some reason I'm high on the Bears this year. The Niners and the Packers are the safest picks in the NFC.

Many teams in the AFC have been weakened. Pitt's offense is a question. I think Baltimore will be strong, but they have some issues with getting over the hump. I'm not a believer in the Texans just yet.

I don't think either is the favorite in their conference, but they both have a really legit shot this season. It's preseason, so who knows how it shakes out, but I think that's a pretty realistic guess too.

Yeah, I'm not huge on pre-season picks or polls. Soooo much can happen over a 16 week season and with parity a team can literally go from first to worst with one major injury conversely a team can come out of nowhere and go from worst to first in just the same fashion. Last year Green Bay was a "lock" to win the Super Bowl by most "experts," Philly was calling itself "a dream team" and the Pats were too "old" to make it to a Super Bowl. No one even had the Giants winning their division, lol.
