Thanks for the years. It was a blast watching his comeback on the Suns after nearly dying. Now there's only one dude left in the league that was on NBA Jam T.E. on the Super Nintendo. (Jason Kidd)
In other news, I feel old.

Sup NBA Jam TE buddy? Lots of great memories of that game, and when I heard this news it was the first thing I thought of (great minds I guess). Yeah, we're all getting old, I guess.
I also remember "Grant hill drinks SPRITE. Grant Hill drinks SPRITE. Grant Hill drinks SPRITE."
I saved a shit ton of Grant Hill rookie cards, honestly believing he and Anfernee Hardaway were bonafide Hall of Famers of Jordan-esque proportions. I was an idiot kid, well into my teenage years.

If Grant Hill's body wouldn't have disintegrated, he would have destroyed on a contender. I blame Orlando. T-Mac, Hill, Dwight Howard and Penny Hardaway all played in Orlando. All of them have fallen apart.

Come to think of it, Orlando is like some bizarre Bermuda Triangle type place where careers are extinguished.
I'm sorry things didn't pan out for him like everyone thought they were going to originally, but he still had an amazing career, and they have to have some fucking necromancer stowed away down in Phoenix or something, because his renaissance was unnatural.

He was on his way to being every bit as good as Pippen. If not better.

That's insane! Kidd's the only one left?

Hmm looks like Kidd retired too. Obviously hearing the news that he was effectively the Highlander of NBA JAM made him feel old. Shit sucks.

It's like Jon Bon Jovi said, "we're not old, just older"

I'm going to have to fire that up later this evening and destroy with the Rookie team.

I wonder if there will ever be a "Bulls vs. Blazers 2". I really enjoyed that one back in the day, but when I played it recently, I realized it was all nostalgia (and being able to play as Jordan helped). But NBA JAM always has a place in my heart. It's title music pounds through my skull even as I type. And it's still fun to play now.
