If only Jamal could have harnessed his business acumen into some basketball skill, he might have a ring right now. But, hey, he owns 71 restaurants, I'm sure that's equally as thrilling.

All joking aside, good for him. So many players blow it all before they're even 50.

(and it's not like he was a bad player or anything, really. I think he was averaging something crazy like 20 points a game or so right up until the bitter end. He just couldn't get it together/ wrong place, wrong time/ wrong team/ stars didn't align/ whatever.)

Caron Butler, currently on the Bucks owns a dozen or so Burger Kings. Good investment as people will always eat that garbage. He will keep making money well after retirement.

The first sentence in this post needs a comma. You also need a comma between "posts" and "asshole" in the last sentence. Finally, your last sentence is a statement and not a question; it should end with a period.
