So I am going to renew our league. The emails should go out tonight. Last year we talked about a weekly move limit to avoid streaming. Are there any other issues that came up. Open to any suggestions.

I'll give the players from last year a few days to rejoin and then open it up to fill up the league as needed.

I like the max moves for the week rule.

Maybe say "yes" to "lock eliminated teams? Didn't someone who was out of it waive all their players one year?

Other than that I think we're good. We've used the same formula for years.

Sure, make a max moves per week limit. Just need to check and see if an add/drop is considered one move or two, and keep that in consideration. And definitely lock the eliminated teams.

Good luck everyone 8)

Never mind. Found the link on the main baseball page. The PGA Pros are once again armed and ready to lead the league in "meh" for yet another season!

Season starts two weeks from today.

We need to set an auto-draft day. Normally we've drafted by now, had our waiver wire fun, maybe done some trading.

First we need one more person (at least).

Let's get our man, set our pre-rankings, and set the thing to draft.

Anyone reading this interested in playing PM me your email address and I'll send you the link.

I don't want to open it to yahoo public and they have changed it so you either open to everyone on yahoo or send an invitation. Not more league name and passwords at least that I could find).

We'll get a couple of more teams and then I'll run the draft.

Auto draft was done last night. Pre-ranking paid off for me. I lost out on a couple of guys I wanted, but also stole some good players who I thought were ranked too low.

Your 2014 Canuckle Balls feature:

C- Buster Posey
1B - Joey Votto
2B - Robinson Cano
3B - Josh Donaldson
SS - Jurickson Profar
OF - Ben Revere
OF - Mike Cuddyer
OF - Matt Holliday
UT - Mike Napoli
BN - Brett Gardner
BN - Nick Swisher
BN - Nick Markakis
BN - Anthony Rendon

SP - Max Scherzer
SP - Jon Lester
SP - Francisco Liriano
SP - Patrick Corbin
SP - Ubaldo Jiminez
CL - Greg Holland
CL - Jim Johnson
P - Tommy Hunter

Now to scour the waiver wire and wheel/deal a bit. Would like 2 more pitchers.

I survived by the skin of my teeth.

This is the first time I remember that the semi-finals are coming down to the top 4 seeds from the regular season.

I did not. I knew I'd get a low seed but I didn't want 8th cause I knew the Bombs would dice me up yet again. Fucker.

Aw well, always next year! Viva Los Crappers!

Congrats to Canuckle for beating me this week. I tried my best, but you just flat out beat me.

Good luck in the finals to both of you.

It was well played. I used my moves early, and held on. I also made a couple of bad decisions on who to sit and it almost bit me in the ass.

You adding Petit and Young yesterday almost did me in. Thank god I had Tillman going in the late game.

This is the first year this league stays true to form in the playoffs. 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6, 7 vs 8 last week of the playoffs. Only problem is if that stands up the Junk Bombs will smoke me!

This is how close things can get: Junk Bombs (who always somehow inspire other teams to have their worst possible weeks) beat me 6-5 and beat me in the QS category 5-4. On Sunday I had a pitcher get yanked at 5 2/3 innings with a 3-1 lead. No QS even though he got the win, fuck me. With that category tied we finish 5-5 and go to tiebreakers. Shit.

Speaking of which, Showalter just took out my guy, W.Y. Chen, after 5.2 innings with a 5-2 lead. Fucking fucker - doesn't he know what's at stake here! He couldn't give me one more out?!

Relievers better not blow my win and save opportunity (I also have Zach Britton).

Congrats Wolf. Damn Pat's King Of Steaks beat me for lousy 3rd despite my best efforts. It was a good year. Good participation except for Craig's Team who basically didn't touch his team after a few weeks. Hopefully next year we can get someone else who wants to play.

One thing that I think should be changed next year is we should add one more batting category. This will even up batting and pitching. Let me know what you guys think.

See you next season.

Three things you can always count on: Death, Taxes and Wolf being in the mix at the end of the year. See you all next spring!

The wife asked me what I won and I answered something along the lines of... "well.... uh... nothing really... it just feels good.... you know... bragging rights".

She walked away shaking her head. :D
