All the best for the final. As an Australian i will be supporting New Zealand.
Lets hope there are cloudy conditions so Boult can rip through their top order.

While England are a better team right now, I think psychologically England is probably a better matchup for us. England clearly the favourites though.

Also, while obviously English games are never going to be conveniently timed for Kiwis, what utter cunt decided on a Sunday, rather than Saturday, final?!

Englands record at Lords is poor and I've heard they're expecting a green wicket. England relies on a flat track for its big hitters. Always felt England were better batting first rather than chasing, but maybe a slower pitch as the day goes on might be better.

Lucky England, but I'll take it.

England, the only country in the world to win Football, Rugby and Cricket world cups.

If a rained off game of cricket is decided through a calculation of overs faced, runs and [emphasis] wickets lost, [/emphasis] then why is a tied game decided by boundaries?

Asking for a friend.

But, regardless of what I think about the rule, i’d have taken it if it had gone our way. Congratulations England, who were the better of the two sides throughout the tournament.

Yeah, not sure why the rules don't say in the event of a tie the team with the least loss of wickets wins. I'm also not a fan of the rule where the ball hitting the batsman on a run out and going to the boundary adds another 4. I also think every lbw or caught behind should be automatically reviewed. Too many shit umpiring decisions this world cup.

Delighted England won.

Feel bad for New Zealand though. Two final losses in a row. Crazy final. Real bail biting stuff.

I am glad I did not invest my time in the Cricket world cup if this is how it was decided, why not keep super overs going until there is a winner
