That is sad.

Hate basketball now, but totally loved those Sixers teams in the early 80's - along with the showtime Lakers and Celtics.

NBA great Moses Malone died due to a severe hardening of his arteries.

The Medical Examiner's Office in Norfolk, VA tells us Malone suffered from hypertension and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. The condition likely induced a fatal heart attack or stroke.

I'm pretty sure he was the only dude on the Spirit of St. Louis that wasn't completely wasted during the season.

I'm also pretty sure that if the Blazers actually stuck with their pick, they could have went back-to-back in the late 70's.

Moses and Ricky Davis are the only 2 guys I've seen miss layups on purpose to pad their RB stats.
