I'm up to about 7-8 miles at a clip in training for my first half marathon in January and I need to add to my music playlist.
Here's a few songs off my playlist I like running to, any similar suggestions?
Perfect Strangers - Deep Purple
Sultans of Swing - Dire Straights
Marathon - Rush
Dancing With Myself - Billy Idol
Modern Love - Bowie
You Wreck Me - Tom Petty
Synchronicity II - The Police
I - Black Sabbath
The Pot - Tool
Walk All Over You - ACDC
Dynamite - Scorpions
Stepping Out - Joe Jackson
State of Love and Trust - Pearl Jam

I am trail running, did an Xterra 15K in San Diego Sunday. I listen to a lot of AC/DC, Priest, Megadeth and Dream Theater. It's kinda cool when you can sync your pace to the tunes.

I've been running since I was a teenager...about a hundred years ago.
Still treats me very well. Always need my tunes for it, though.

I do 5-6 miles per day 6 days a week. I used to listen to nothing but music, but about a year or so ago I switched over to podcasts. Just seems to take my mind off the work of running being able to get into whatever the podcast topic is

Re: Any runners in here?
that is a LOT of freaking running! you should be able to pull off a marathon fairly easily ??VanDokken wrote:I do 5-6 miles per day 6 days a week. Re: Any runners in here?
appreciate the compliment. I dont think I could pull off a marathon. My strength is my ability/commitment to do that every day rather than long distances. I think 8 miles is the longest I have ever done. If I had too I might be able to pull off a slow 1/2 marathon but have never pushed myself. I am just happy with what I can do now as I never, ever, ran until I was 45 (4 yrs ago). Wish I started earlier. Feel so much better and it is awesome to eat pretty much whatever junk I want Also it helps as I have a VERY sedentary job...I think on my average day my mile split times on 5-6 miles is 9 min rangeEzyRider wrote:that is a LOT of freaking running! you should be able to pull off a marathon fairly easily ??VanDokken wrote:I do 5-6 miles per day 6 days a week. I ran track and cross country since high school/college so I'm just hanging onto some of that. I do like 3-6 miles about 3 times a week - nothing serious. Give Andrew WK's I Get Wet album a go. Might not be into it, but it'll be good for 4-5 miles worth!

Re: Any runners in here?
I run two to three times a week, but I don't really know how far I'm going. Can't be more than two or three miles. I do a bit of sprinting most runs, so it tires me out faster. I have no idea why anyone would want to run for more than a couple of miles. Bores the fuck out of me unless it's trail running.

8 mile trail run yesterday, pretty hilly, muscles sore today!
here is a link to it on strava >> https://www.strava.com/activities/1514065025
tunes were Allman Brothers 'A Decade of Hits', The Cult 'Electric' and Van Halen 'II' all on shuffle. 'Dreams' sounded really good until my ear buds crapped out on one side, thinking of getting these now https://aftershokz.com/collections/all/ ... z-titanium
