Pitchers and catchers reported and now is the time to get stated organizing this years fantasy baseball league.

If you played last year and want to play again please let me know. I sent an email to everyone a few minutes ago and just reply that that you want back in - except Canuckle Balls who has a hidden email. Just pm me canuckle and let me know if you are in.

Once we figure out who is coming back we'll open it up and round out the league. Let me know if you are interested in playing. Please do so by responding/posting on this thread.

Are we going to consider a "live" draft this year?

I want to, the year just ain't a year unless PKOS ( evil sonuvabitch ) is kicking the ever living shit out of my team.

I'm just super busy with work. I have to look and see if I can make an effort with it. Near the end of the season last year I got promoted so my focus was elsewhere. Apologies.

So I don't really want to wait until the very last second to get everything set up. This is a great league with competitive players and I want it to stay that way, so we need to get the ball rolling.

I need to know who is in. So far only PKOS and Junk bombs ave confirmed through email. Wolf - Who was you team? Everyone Please email me (You should be able to through yahoo baseball page)and tell me whether or not you are in. Don't post on sludge as I cannot tell who your team is unless you tell me. Yahoo changed the way that people sign up and basically has resigned everyone up. I hope that is the case, but I need to know if you are in or I will take you out of the league and look for other players. You have until March 17 to email me and then I open it up.

Again please email me or PM me and let me know if you are in and who your team was.

2 things that have been discussed - Live draft and I would like to add another batting stat to make both pitching and batting even. I am willing to do a live draft but we have to pick a date and stick with it. Of course someone will not be able to make it, but don't let that stop you from playing this year. It is a free league so nothing will be lost other than pride if you auto draft and finish last.

I'm up for a live draft, dates are always hard to nail down but I'd do my best to attend.

As for an extra batting stat, I looked at the list, and all I see that we could use is:

Batting Average (which we use to use)
Hits
Slugging

Getting close to opening day.

When are we drafting live or auto-drafting?

Are all teams set?

Just a reminder to run your team. I see that everything killers is not changing his line-up. When everyone signed up they agreed to run the team for the year. Please keep up with it. It's really not that hard to change your line-up once every couple of days.

If anyone is looking to upgrade at SS, let me know. I have Elvis Andrus coming off the DL, and Brandon Crawford who's been on fire for months. I would part with either for a solid SP, sure thing RP, or maybe an upgrade elsewhere.

I just proposed Everything Killer's Trea Turner and Max Scherzer for The Bomb's Melky Cabrera, Aaron Hicks and if The Junk Bombs has to sweeten that pot, throw Matt Harvey in the mix.

I've never had a team fall faster after the all star break than this one. No matter what move I make, it's the wrong one. Every bat went cold and every arm went limp. Terrible.

Congratulations WOLF! Dominant from the All-Star break and now a sixth championship in 13 seasons. Definitely the Dynasty of Sludge Baseball!

After a brutal first few weeks of the season, I was happy to wind up with a third straight top-3 finish, but it never seemed like my team could put it all together for more than a week or two at a time.

Thank you. It makes up for last year’s crappy showing. This is of course just as much luck as it is skill. Had I run into “!” this past week, I’d be celebrating runner up status and not a championship.

Congratulation to Canuckle Balls on taking the title, well earned. The Junk Bombs sucked this year and just could not get any forward momentum going. I enjoyed the season anyway.

I play in several other leagues and won a few, but The Sludge League is the only one I really give a damn about and it was disappointing to have such
a poor showing this season.

The live draft was great this year and I hope it continues next season. As always, The Metal Sludge League rocked and I look forward to The Bombs
falling again next season.
