Maple Leafs lose to a 42 year old zamboni driver.

In tonight’s game between the Maple Leafs and the Carolina Hurricanes. The Canes had both of their goaltender leave due to injury. They were winning 3 to 1 at the time but there was still half a game to play. In comes the emergency goaltender that every NHL home team has to supply for the game in case of such a freak event. This was a 42 year old zamboni driver who never played a single second of NHL hockey. He managed to let in two on the first three shots , and then shut the door on the sad sack Maple Leafs.
Securing the 6 to 3 victory for the visiting Hurricanes. This is every beer league players dream come true. He was also selected as the 1 st star of the game.

Cool story for him. Both Leafs and Panthers are trying their best not to make the playoffs!

I'm not sure which team is in worse shape . Using all of your cap space on 4 forwards , or wasting all your cap on a Russian goalie ?

Florida. Bob has been horrendous. Like so bad. Defense hasn't been great, but Bob's contract is a killer. Always risky spending that much money on a goaltender. At least the 4 forwards (Marner, Matthews, Tavares, and Nylander) are great/good players!
