Guerlain? I'm aware of their fragrances, and even the dates and stories behind how several of them were created. They're among the worst I've ever smelled. When I was an adviser for Christian Dior, I ended up in charge of Guerlain and their clientele quite a bit. Old, frumpy women buy Guerlain! I have drawers overstuffed with unopened beauty products from about every luxury brand you could imagine. It's nothing to shout about.

Money and fame won't impress me, either. I grew up among what you call the "upper crust". I worked on school projects at my classmate's mansions. I attended Cotillion straight out of grade school, where I learned social etiquette and how to ballroom dance in white gloves at the country club. I've been backstage at more concerts than I can keep count of. I've visited movie sets. I've been in newspapers and on television. I've rubbed elbows and had close relationships with royalty, politicians, movie stars, models, rock stars, athletes, artists, heirs, socialites, etc. They're just regular people with unusual jobs. No more, no less. I'll take a great personality over a large bank account any day.

There is a perfumery in Paris (the name escapes me at the moment) that caters to custom scents. The bottles are crystal and have diamonds in them. The starting price is 1500 US dollars for your own one of a kind smell. Now THAT is the perfume of the rich. Not that crap you can only get at TJ Maxx next to the Paris Hilton line!
