What Calderon08 is dealing with right now goes beyond insults being written on message boards though. This has spread over to her real life. It is affecting her perception of the whole issue which is perfectly understandable. And it all started because of things that were posted on the forum.

I have seen what was posted on that other board. When I saw that they were lifting up pictures of users from here and that they were posting them on their site just to make fun of them, I was appalled by it. I even was tempted to hid the picture thread from this board to stop them. There are users on this board who don't know that their pics were used to made fun of them and that some were even used in photoshop. Yes, one must be careful about what one posts on the net. But if making the board "private" is helping even a little tiny bit to protect what we post in here, then I'm all for it.

I just Googled - michael jackson fan suicide - and found no real news stories too. Only gossip that quotes the president of MJJCommunity fan website which is then picked up by other websites = BOGUS. If it was true there would have been articles/obit. for EACH person who committed suicide. Usually privacy doesn't follow someone into death, records are open at that point including SS#.

Actually, no. There is an unwritten rule in the media to avoid reporting on suicides. Even when someone does commit suicide, the press story will usually be "so and so was found dead..." and not mention the suicidal circumstances in any way.
