Had this problem when the wife and I first got together and she just made it a point to let me know that a smooth face was appreciated and she has had 15 years of non irritated pussy eating. Gentlemen, consider this a warning. If you're going to go a'munching you've gotta take care of your face. That Don Johnson 80's stubble that you think gives you that rugged look sucks. Over the years of being married I've had to learn this the hard way. If my face felt like sand paper, or (when I'd grow one) the beard was more like a brillo pad, the wife was not real happy with me eating at the Y, no matter how talented the tongue. Don't be lazy, your lady will thank you.

Conversely ladies, if we're going to go through the trouble to offer up a nice smooth face, or a nice soft beard to tickle your neither regions, either keep the landing pad smooth, or keep a soft enough strip down there, so we don't end up with a rug burn on our face.

I realized how important shaving is to a woman when I ended up being on the reverse.
She had 5 O'clock shadow down there, and I was clean shaven(very rare for me).
My girl is pretty good with upkeep though, I don't think she goes more than a day without a nice clean shave down there.

Hmmm, my bf's occasional stubble tickles me nicely, but he has a good oral technique, so it's never painful.

Stubble can be quite sexy, especially when they gently tickle you on your lower stomach or your inner thighs before they get down to business, but if there's stubble, they can't shove their face down there like a horse in a feedback of oats (which might be very entertaining if they were clean shaven) - they have to refrain from using anything more than their tongues.
