Just wondering. I know it's not a catch-all discussion, but, for the most part, it seems like it's mostly dudes into Morrissey. I love the man, and his music is awesome, but I wouldn't have sex with him.

Do women like his music? Or is it mainly geared towards males?

My girlfriend is a really big Smiths fan. Don't think she wants to fuck him though. I don't want to ask.

How odd; I've known more girls than guys that like Morrissey's solo stuff. OTOH, The Smiths--most of the gals I know can't even name one Smiths song.

Probably because he has a fascination with straight men who are dangerous...so the sex might have included him getting his ass kicked, hence the crying lol.

I like him okay, but I've never been a huge fan of his music. I know a few girls that are really into him though. He wasn't bad to look at in his younger days but no, I just don't find him attractive now.

Morrissey is totally hot and talented. He's gay alright, but I have always gotten the asexual vibe from him.

Since the album before last he has fallen off the 'saying I am celibate wagon'. An old friend of mine was chatted up by him back when 'Southpaw Grammer' came out so he never was asexual, just very very covert.

But when he moved to Rome a few years ago, he had just begun a very serious relationship and so, more songs about sex.

At other music board I visit, one guy happened to meet Morrissey and his band at a local bar after one of his shows. He was suprised that Morrissey was drinking, being very social and joking and throwing money around. Very different from his public image, but not in a bad way.

No, Bowie 'pretended' to be bi. Morrissey pretended to be celibate whilst being gay. Not the same thing at all.

True and kind of false. Bowie did not pretend to be "bi" in the 70s- he was or at least experimented with being "bi". Morrissey is gay and yes, women do like him- they like his music. Same with the Michael Stipe types- he is GAY! I personally can't stand Stipe.

Exactly! There was no way he was celibate if what he was writing in his songs was true.
