The 80's were my era as far as make-up went, also have diploma in media make-up...I'd go for the toyah look, I was a Madoona freak back in school. Some of the high street stores do the bright colour palettes now, I wore yellow/orange eyeshadow,with the line of blusher! crimpers may come in handy too! Hope this helps you.

I do make-up for film and tv and i would go for hot pink blusher, bright pink lips and blue eyeshadow with lots of black liner and mascara
I would definately channel Cyndi Lauper tho!

In any case, the best advice I've gotten regarding auditions is to dress/makeup as if it were shooting that day. Casting agents (especially for extras) often are more likely to go for ya if you already "look the part" and they don't have to "imagine" it. Plus, hell, it shows them that you "get" what they want.

Whetever else you do, use lip gloss that makes your lips look so wet they're ready to drip. I hated that stuff, but it was must-wear for the era.

I have just the thing, barbie pink wet look with crystal in it.
I might do two different shots, one with 'punky' black lippy. One more 'poppy' with pinks and colours.

There isn't anything wrong with your smile. You smile with your eyes, too. Cute!

You might not want to go so pale with the foundation/powder. Unless it's a vampire flick.

I agree about the foundation and you def need to get some blush

Have you considered dying the tips of your hair black or red?

They have a hairdresser on site, so they will take care of that if it is needed
Im unsure as to wether I should touch up my roots, or grow them out a bit.

I've been doing extra work lately with law and order criminal intent. casting would rather you look like every day you than anything else. as long as every day you is more the type they're looking for, they'll make you look the way they want for the scene. try too hard and it will kill you.

Well, if you were to go whole-hog Cyndi that would mean shaving off one of the sides of your head and you don't want to do that, it's not worth it if it's not a speaking role. I'd get a lace scarf and tie it up with a bow on the top or the side with your hair kinda sticking untidily out, like Madonna did REALLY early on. I used to do that all the time when my heavily permed hair got all ratty and I didn't feel like screwing with it.

It would totally go with the eye makeup and look really authentic.
