Although, not a rocker or musician the Trent Reznor thread has a few people remembering him with his long hair thirty five years ago. We called a few major magazines and they didn't even know who he was

Honestly, the majority of rockers that I thought looked good back in the day, still look good. The one glaring exception is Jimmy Page. I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.
