has it died down?

Hehe I finally get to make my first post! No the scene hasn't died down it's just in different places now. You most likely won't find many groupies around bigger/older names, unless they have some friends on the inside, but younger heavy bands are still keeping the girls alive. If you're looking for groups try the heavy metal scene (not all whiny goths/emos or screamo stuff) I know Five Finger Death Punch (off name but decent sound), Avenged Sevenfold, and a few others are down with groupies. Of course a few guys in these groups don't care for groupie interaction. Sadly if you're looking for classic rock guys you're mostly out of luck.
[Also I'm just going to talk about rock, I'm oblivious to the groupies of the pop or rap scene, yeah I find a song I like every now and then, but its just not my scene so I can't help you if you're looking there]

it almost looks like members of classic rock and heavy metal bands are simply getting old... and can't take this kind of entertainment anymore... they may be just happy sitting in a bar having a beer or two (or 3)... combine beer with age and you get an FPO (for peeing only)

A lot of the old timers don't really "tour" anymore and/or have kids in tow so there's a lot less opportunity. Been out of the game for a long time now myself but I can see how that could be true based on a few folks we know.

I've heard country is still alive and well though. Maybe try for someone there if that's what you like?

ya'll are fuckin crazy, if we are talking about the hair metal guys who still sling the shit at dive bars, yes, they are still living it up, and down for fun. boredom in tiny shit towns gets the best of boys.

These days, I'll go to two or three shows a year. It doesn't matter if it's a big popular band, a smaller local one, older, or younger. They still scope the crowd for girls. For me it's been the same for the past 11 years.

I'm definitely in for a nite with a hot rock boy.

However, here begs a question...how old is too old to be a "groupie"...even just for a nite, on a whim?? I'm in my early thirties...but don't look it.

I think it's all about being sexy and how you look. I had a friend that hooked up with rockers well into her thirties. And I mean big names in the industry. They don't really care about age too much from my experience.
