Saw the new Clash of the Titans film a couple of hours ago. I give it 8/10. If I had to name some bad points about it I'd say that the main character's accent (Perseus - Sam Worthington) got a little annoying at times, I think he was trying to do an English accent but he kept slipping into Australian, especially towards the end. The effects are great, I thought the parts with Pegasus in were particularly good - the flying didn't look crappy at all. The kracken was well done too.
Though I'm not sure of Liam Neeson as Zeus. There's no way you could actually get into his character or feel anything for him 'cos the whole time you're thinking 'That's Liam Neeson with a wig, fake beard and guyliner on.'

The Entity [1981]: 3.5 out of 5

Old school horror movie about a woman who is repeatedly raped by a demon. Pretty freaky. Some of the special effects are pretty good for the time period while others are laughable.

Barbara Hershey was pretty good looking in that flick, esp during that one particular scene....

I know what ya mean! It's funny you say that though. After I watched it, I couldn't help wondering if she's aged well. I did a Google image search for her. She's 62 now and looks amazing.

Manon of the Spring - 10/10

It's the second part of Jean de Florette. Now, let me summarize this two films in one word: MAGNIFICENT. The acting was superb. The visuals are excellent! The script is great. Overall, a great, great, great movie. Also, the actress playing Manon is fuckin' beautiful! Also, the twist in the end is kind of a heartbreaker.

House of the Devil 9/10

Watching this makes me think like I'm watching an 80's horror film, which is a good thing. It's emphasis is on the buildup of menace and terror and not on the gore element which is prevalent in today's horror films. A must watch.

The Wicker Man (original)--8/10 Still creepy, deranged, and entertaining. Worth it for the naked wall-slapping scene alone.

I did. Saw it again - the night after I watched it for the first time!
I asked a few people what they thought about it and we all agreed that the Medusa bits were a bit of a let down. They really went to town with the CGI for those bits - she looks quite cartooney.

Old Yeller

6/10. Good story, but the movie definitely shows it's age. When was the last time you heard of someone shooting their dog instead of taking it to the vet?

Greenberg.

I'm not quite sure if I liked it or loved it - I'll need to see it again. First reaction, 8/10, but this could go up or down a little.

I love the book. Hubert Selby Jr. is probably one of the best writers there is.

1984 - 7/10

The dude playing Winston was great, but not really a great movie version of the Orwell classic.

Talk radio - 1986 - Oliver Stone - 3/10. Phony and stupid about one night in a radio hosts life. Actually based on a real life murder but they messed this movie up.

Sherlock Holmes: 6/10

After Snatch and Lock, Stock, I had high hopes for Guy Ritchie, but his subsequent films just don't live up.

State of play, cant believe this movie didnt do better business in North America, it had a great cast and kept me on the edge of my seat 8.5/10

Its at 84% on Rotten tomatoes

The Narrows good little flick about a guy torn between mob loyalty and wanting to go to college, a bit of an indie feel decent cast, Sophia Bush is very hot as always, 7/10

Father of The Bride. 8.5/10 Steve Martin is great. Also, Martin Short is hilarious as Franck the gay wedding planner.

The Ten Commandments 9/10
I watch it almost every year when it's on. Charlton Heston may be a little wooden as the movie goes on and some of the actors may be a little over the top, but Yul Brynner is excellent. Anne Baxter was hot as fuck. Yvonne De Carlo and Debra Paget were hotties too.
