Porridge (1979)- 8/10. Really funny... I want to check out the TV show that preceded it for sure now. Ronnie Barker was that dude.

Wall St. 2 - watched on plane.
8/10

Great movie, except for the daughter who was pretty terrible - from the renee zellwigger school of one expression acting. The daddy/daughter subplot was kind of played out and lame too.

But I liked it.

Saw it over the weekend and would also give it 9 out of 10. Loved it. One of the best movies I've seen in a while.

you're really using the term "rom com" loosely.

Season Of The Witch: 3/10
You can tell that the writer totally meant for that movie to be something different than it was. A total example of a great idea taken by a studio and a director, and done horribly wrong. Believe it or not, Nic Cage is not the worst thing in this movie. Terrible pacing, not needed CGI, and an ending that just makes the entire movie drop down another 2 points.

Season of the Witch, George Romero's from 1972 or thereabouts. 7/10. Very interesting. Movies like that stopped getting made long ago, in favor of the childish crap we enjoy today.

Buried~5/10. Didn't think I'd make it through a movie about a guy buried alive in a wooden box in the desert. It wasn't as bad as I anticipated.

The Naked City (1948)- 8/10

Film noir shot entirely on location in 1940's New York City. No major twists or anything but it was a good watch. I'm digging these old film noir's...

Down Argentine Way - 7/10. Starring Betty Grable.

The Story Of Vernon And Irene Castle - 7/10. Another Ginger Rogers/Fred Astaire movie. The last one they made together at RKO. It's about Vernon & Irene Castle who were mostly dancers before the first World War.

If they were mostly dancers, what else did they do?

They had their own line of candies, shoes, beauty products, hats, cigars... Irene Castle designed Ginger's costumes for the movie as well.

Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones- 10. Awesome footage of a great band at its very best.

Repo Man- 8. Cool movie; I watched it twice in a row, which is unusual for me. I totally get the following: Great style, some funny lines. Some of the political stuff probably went over my head, but I enjoyed it a lot.

The more you drive, the less intelligent you are.

Just watched Cop Land. 6.5. Could've easily cut out 20 minutes and had a more captivating film. Good cast, of course...

Green hornet= 5 out of 10... Had some funny stuff but the tone of the movie was all over the place. Kato was cool but everyone else seemed lost at what to do in their roles

Blue valentine= 8/10 very good movie, very well acted. This movie was uncomfortable to watch because it brought back memories of past relationships that went bad. Not a movie I'd watch gain but it was well done.
