Battleship - Better than I expected. The first 20 minutes felt like a comedy, then it turned into alien navy invasion. Good use of things from the game (bombs, tracking grid). 7/10

The Three Stooges - eh. They had the routines down pretty well, and the guy doing Curly was dead-on. Still, kind of boring, and not too funny. 4/10

New Years Eve - Had pretty bad reviews, so I wasn't expecting much. Once again though, better than expected. Tons of stars. 6/10

Margin Call - well acted, pretty riveting. 9/10.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
- okay, liked Daniel Craig. Flow of the movie was choppy and it could have been a lot easier to follow. 6.5/10.

John Carter - Loved it. Gets a bad rap because Disney can't keep costs under control. 9/10.

We Bought a Zoo - Family entertainment from Cameron Crowe. Acting wasn't great but had the requisite "feel-good" story done adequately. 7/10.

Zookeeper - I want to like Kevin James but this movie was pretty formulaic and just dumb in parts. 4/10.

It was a cool and fun movie. Some parts managed to be a little scary. CGI isn't always so pleasing

Same here 9 outta 10. Good, original, big, dumb, fun movie. Pretty over the top. Those are the ONLY times I can take bad CGI.

I just realized the fountain Charlton Heston dies in at the end of Omega Man is the same fountain those faggot Friends dance around at the beginning of their show.

Another gem from the Asylum. If you're in a bad B-movie mood, these guys deliver. And Gary Busey's son is in it. That apple didn't fall far from the tree.

Jekyll and Hyde Together Again (1982) -
Actual rating: probably 2/10
So bad it's great rating: 10/10

What a neat snapshot of drug culture in the early 80's. This movie is kind of an Airplane type movie with cheap, stupid jokes coming in at rapid-fire pace. Terrible but somehow back-handedly amusing acting. The lead guy was a regular player on the SNL-knockoff show "Fridays" (which also gave us Michael Richards). Incredibly weird guy; looks like what it would be if Billy Squier had a retarded brother. There's a great sequence at a "punk rock" sushi bar that is hilariously clueless about punk culture, but also very reflective of that time too.

Note for the horndogs: Elvira (Cassandra Peterson) has a bit role as a nurse where you can't see her face clearly but her boob pops of her shirt and the lead guy plays with her nipple for a second or two.

Just odd all the way around. It's gotta be a great movie to watch while stoned.

Green Lantern: 6 or 7 of ten. I prefer the Netlix 5 star rating system, 1=hated it, 2=didn't like it, 3 being liked it, 4=really liked it, 5= loved it. So Green Lantern I'd say 3 stars.

last weekend i watched Crazy Heart with Jeff Bridges as an aging country singer playing bowling alleys and opening up for his old guitar player who's gone on to surpass Bridges. That was a pretty great movie. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.

The weekend before that I watched "21" with Kevin Spacey as an MIT professor who has a blackjack club and takes a few top students to Vegas to take hundreds of thousands of dollars from the casinos by counting cards. good story, middle part was slow, but the ending saved the movie. 3 of 5 Stars.

Cabin in the Woods : 4/10
Walked in not knowing what it was about - thought it was a horror movie.
I hate horror movies that are meant to be funny. I find nothing funny in horror movies or Zombie movies, for that matter so this thing had two strikes going against it within the first 10 minutes. It reminded me of how much people really hated Last Action Hero, because it was a parody - but no one knew it until they were in the theater. It was original, however, so I'll give it some credit and a 4/10, but wouldn't recommend anybody pay to see it.

Melancholia : 1/10
This movie lost me in the 10 minute opening montage. Its the type of movie you watch at home while doing something else, like cleaning up around the house and sorting through stuff, and not really miss much because of the pacing. I never knew then impending destruction of the world could be so long, drawn out and dull. I'll give it 1 star for Kirstin Dunsts boobs, that's about it.

Little Ashes an interesting look at Salvador Dali before he became "THE" Salvador Dali. If it weren't for the fact that the other notable characters were fellow avant garde types like Lorca and Bunuel, this film would be akin to watching a film about Farrokh Bulsara in college; interesting stuff for diehards only. As it stands, Little Ashes is a decent period piece with the back drop of The Jazz Age going into the Spanish Revolution and some major players from the era. 6/10.

Agreed on this. I thought it was an Evil Dead remake going in. Wrong, but still happy with the premise.

Maybe this is a good movie and maybe Gina Carano can act but I'll never know because mostly all you experience watching this film is the horrible soundtrack turned up so high in the mix that you don't notice anything else.
