Avengers followed by Men In Black 3. It made me realize the most important skill to have is a super strong grip.

Seven Psychopaths- I'll give it a 7. Some really funny dialogue, though none of it was true-to-life (obv).

Oblivion - 3/10
Disjointed story that seemed to drag on and on and on.
Just when you think it's over, it switches to another attempt to "shock" you and fails... again...
It completely gets lost within itself and leaves you wondering if they wrote the script like that or the editing was so bad it just ended up a rank mess.

Thought it was great actually. The guy who played the mechanical man played the part of a normal every day guy well.
Doug Duncan character was hilarious and the lead girl was great in it too.
Good story line made it fun to watch.

Scary Movie 5
Both of these movies were pretty much what I expected, so I am giving them both 9/10. I know the Scary movie series is dumb, but I like them.

An excellent movie with excellent performances. Boseman and Ford have an incredible rapport in this. Alan Tudyk is also chilling as the cruel, race-baiting Phillies manager, Lucas Black does a great job playing Robinson's eventual best friend, Pee Wee Reese, and the actors playing Robinson's wife, Rachel (Nicole Beharie), and his caretaker/reporter, Wendell (Andre Holland), are also great . It's one of Ford's best dramatic performances in years, and Boseman hits a home run as Jackie. You can tell that he's gonna be a star. He's just got this amazing presence and charisma.

Evil Dead 8.5 outta 10
Over the top fun and gore...just awesome overall. Had to disassociate it from the original franchise, but as a reboot, it worked and was pretty damned good. A few minor nitpicks, but nothing worth going on about. IMO, not as good as the Dawn Of The Dead reboot, but a little better than the first TCM reboot.
Edited to add: I've seen people online bitching about the acting. Seriously...I know we all love the original versions, but really...have you ever noticed how bad the acting really is? Romanticizing something due to the nostalgia of youth doesn't make the reality any different.

Who Can Kill a Child? (1976) 7/10. Very cool Spanish horror film directed by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador. It is about an English couple who, on a vacation getaway, find an island inhabited by maniacal children. Also known as Island of the Damned.

James Franco in his gangster get up playing Everytime by Britney spears on the piano was amazing "This song is by a little known woman named Britney Spears. One of the greatest singers of all time, and a true angel if there ever was"

Evil Dead (original) is overrated. Never understood why it's classed as some kind of horror masterpiece. I can think of several lesser known horrors that are far superior to Evil Dead in every way yet don't get the recognition they deserve.

Evil Dead (the remake) 6/10
Better than average horror movie.
I'm not a fan of the first one and really hate when horror movies try to be funny and was concerned it could very well go that route, but I'm glad they played it straight for the most part,

Lords Of Salem - 2 outta 10
Went to the limited release showing of LOS on Friday. Break out the Razzies because it is one of the fucking worst movies I've ever seen. Unintentionally hilarious at points though. Imagine the Sheri Moon Zombie and the "WTF?" white stallion scenes from Halloween 2 over the full 90 mins. I hope this shit becomes a midnight showing/cult favorite in the future. Atrocious and hilarious...yep.
The only cool thing I noticed was the small visual nods to The Sentinel.

Lords of Salem - 2 stars out of 10
I debated seeing either this, 42 or Oblivion, and at the last minute chose this one... Boy, did I make the wrong choice.
If I went to an earlier showing, I probably would have walked into another movie right after it in order to erase the memory of it (kinda like the time I went to see The Happening).
It was a little better then the other god-awful movies Rob Zombie has made (hence the 2 stars instead of zero or 1), but not by much. It was like he was trying to do a half-baked Rosemary's Baby, and failed horribly.
I probably should have seen it on drugs, maybe I would have liked it better.
Outside of Meg Foster, who really runs with what little she had to work with, and Sheri Moon's ass, there's not a whole hell of a lot to see here.
Sheri Moon just flat-out can't act... and I'm being nice here.
But I guess every so often Rob Zombie makes a movie and needs to give his Mrs. a job....
I was actually going to give Zombie credit that he finally ditched the other five friends he usually give jobs too, but I see in the end credits that the non-talent known as Sid Haig also played a role, so I'm not giving him any here.
Also, its kinda tough to make a scary movie when there are no scares to be had.
The monster in the film is friggin' laughable. Like a mutated Game of Thrones dude.
The best line of the night came at the end of the film, by some guy in back of the 12 people in the theater "This was the worst movie I've ever seen."
If you need to see it, wait two weeks and just Red Box it.

Lords of Salem - as the others, 2/10. Just an overblown mess of a movie. Much like his music career, I believe his first few were luck, and the rest is going to suck.
