The Place Beyond the Pines: 7/10

I loved Blue Valentine and once I heard that this was that director's next movie, I knew I definitely had to go see it. This one wasn't quite as good as that one, but definitely worth watching. Ryan Gosling totally kills it at always and Bradley Cooper wasn't too shabby.

Another person worth mentioning is Dane DeHaan. It is downright FREAKY how much he looks like a young Leonardo DiCaprio and I think he's heading toward huge career. People are gonna notice him for sure when The Amazing Spider-Man sequel comes out next year and see him as Harry Osborn.

At the theater today:

Pain and Gain - 9 out of 10. I thought it was great. Cool story, pretty good acting, great camera work. I recommend this one.

Oblivion - 3 out of 10. I thought it was pretty bad. Started to doze off during it. Nothing really good in it and I am not sure why I am giving it as high as 3. Boring story. Recycled story. Tom Cruise is wooden. It stunk.

I thought the effects were really bad. I was mad I spent the 2 hours watching it. I feel bad you spent the extra money on imax. Morgan Freeman could have been any dayplayer. Brought nothing to the boring and poorly written role.

Watched this again and it's good, the cast makes it watchable and entertaining but it does go downhill towards the end. Great sound track.

It is hard to believe.
There must have been some pay-offs there or something. The acting wasn't that great on top of the bad storyline and the weird camera angles.

1968 Tunnel Rats (2008) - 7/10. Low budget B Movie done pretty well. Based on the factual responsibilities of the guys called tunnel rats, trying to find the VC underground. Supposedly the entire film was ad libbed according to director Uwe Boll. No winners here, the movie is depressing as heck and the tunnel scenes were pretty uncomfortable to watch.
