Exit to Hell: 4/10
Some films are so bad they're good, but not this one. I watched it just for Kane Hodder, but he didn't help.

You're Next: 6/10
Old idea done OK. I liked it but didn't love it.

Justice League: War - 8/10

More proof that while Marvel owns the live action movies, DC (Warner Bros.) annihilates Marvel when it comes to animation.

The Osterman Weekend (1983) Starring Rutger Hauer, John Hurt, Dennis Hopper and Craig T Nelson.

7/10. Worth it for the shoot out scene at the end. Decent action, and spy movie. Was Rutger Hauer's birthday and he is one of my favorite actors so I figured I'd watch an obscure movie of his that I hadn't seen yet.

8/10. Wonderful movie with a great story. I recognize the movie did not "gross" tons of money and was basically ignore, but I highly recommend the film to everybody here.

On the cable front,

Broken City: 4/10
Should have called it Broken movie.
My suspension of disbelief snapped wildly the moment Marky Mark went from going on a Meatloaf-sized booze bender to walking onto a crime scene stone cold sober moments later. Can someone say continuity error?

The Hunt 10/10

Get your ass on Netflix and watch this movie now! I won't pretend to be more cultured than I am, I had to watch the shit with subs on, but it's got the bad guy from Casino Royale as the star, you know the dude with the eyes? Well, let me just say this shit was intense. It's about a guy who has been wrongly accused of something serious. It gave me a real case of the sads though, so be forewarned!

If you have HBOGO:

Stoker 8/10

It was......interesting. If you give it about 15 minutes, you'll be sucked in. Sorry, don't want to spoil it.

I just watched American Mary last night.

I thought it was a great idea but the acting was kinda shaky.

Would have loved to have seen this done with a big budget and big names.

Love and a .45 (1994) - 8/10. Total sucker for this one, whenever it comes on.

Jeffrey Combs will always be Herbert West, but his take as Dinosaur Bob, partner of fellow speed freak Creepy Cody has to be a close second in best roles. This movie is pretty low budget but it tries real hard (maybe too much) to be a combo of Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers and maybe something else that is escaping me at the moment.

Wow, I haven't thought of this one in forever. May have to see it now. I wish Combs and Bruce Campbell had made a film together. Would be the best movie ever.

Blue Jasmine 9/10
Great movie. Alec Baldwin was his usual great self, even in a limited role.
Cate Blanchett was her usual brilliant self.
Dice Clay shined. WOW. Didn't know he could act. The guy has to be taking lessons.
90+ minutes running time was perfect. If the movie was 30 minutes longer, well that would have been HUGE mistake.

Millions of Africans go their whole lives without resorting to piracy. FUCK those guys.

Oh and by the way, we tried to help them one time. Remember how that went?

Anyway I give The Hobbit 2 a 7/10. One point subtracted for stuffing Legolas into the plot.

Captain Phillips 8/10
I already saw this at the movies, but rented it for my mother and watched it again with her. I still think its a toss up between this and Prisoners as my favorite movie of last year.

On the cable front
Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret: 6/10
Typical Lifetime flick, but Tania Raymonde (aka Rousseau's daughter from Lost) is such a smoke show in this movie that she makes it watchable.

Ma femme est une actrice ("My Wife Is an Actrice" 2001) - 4/10. Worst Charlotte Gainsbourg I've seen. Barely remember shit about it already.

The Sun Also Rises (1957) - 7/10. Kinda impossible to live up to the book, so I'll just say Ava Gardner and Juliette Gréco are pretty.

Thouroughly Modern Millie (1967) - 7/10. Corny as fuck and kinda perfect for that. Made me see the Mary Tyler Moore show in a new, perverted light.

I have an original poster from that movie that I won at an auction.

Bad Grandpa: 8/10 - I loved it. Though I doubt it will win Knoxville any new fans.

The Orphanage: 7/10 - Decent thriller, though fairly predictable.

American Psycho - 7/10
I originally saw this movie a little too soon after I'd read the book and didn't much care for it. Time's passed and I gave it another shot. Much better.

The Factory - 4/10
John Cuzack and that chick from Dexter. Kidnapper grabs girls to keep them captive and get them pregnant. Came out BEFORE the whole deal in Cleveland, so a bit eerie looking back on that. Otherwise, derivative and not worth your time.

Bad Grandpa - 8/10
Get high and watch it. I laughed until I cried...multiple times.

Wolf of Wall Street - 9/10
What more can be said about this movie. Fucking brilliant. DiCaprio should finally get his Oscar. Loses a point because it runs a little too long.

The Exorcist - as soon as the piss scene in front of guests happens, 10/10 for the rest of the flick. Up to that point was hit or miss.
