Scar - nasty little no budget horror flick. Very revenge-torture porn of a flick..

All the sfx went into the gore. Shitty camera at one point, not much better than iPhone quality. Nasty nonetheless and worth a watch if you pick up EPIX Drive In - 6.5/10

The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Pretty mediocre.

And I do think Andrew Garfield is a decent actor.

Into the Woods - Pretty damn good actually. It's tamed down to an extent (since its Disney) but not as much as I expected. It's pretty faithful to the stage version and the singing (although auto-tuned in some places like a muh fucka) is decent all the way through. Nothing totally stuck out or blew my mind but nothing was really a weak link either.

Bay Of Blood, directed by Mario Bava. 10/10. I can't give it less, as Bava was, once again, so ahead of his time. Bravo, Bava!!

The movie is great. The acting was stellar. Wondering if Kristen Wiig will get a Golden Globe
nomination. She certainly deserves recognition.

I watched this last night. Just wished it had a different ending. Not into the "All is well" type stuff.

"Wild" - 9/10

Terrific movie. Probably Witherspoon's finest performance outside of "Walk the Line."

"Top Five" - 8/10

Also a great movie. Rock hits a new level of truth on film.

"The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies" - 7.5/10

Mostly an action film, but really good capper to the series.

"The Interview" - 6.5/10

Despite all the backlash, this movie is actually relatively entertaining. Not a classic, but solidly funny.

Saw the movie over the weekend. Special 1 day only screening at local theater. Fun to watch with an audience.
Have seen the film many times but never on the big screen.
So many great/funny 1 liners from beginning to end.

"Come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs"
One of my top 3 favorite movies of all-time.
I started watching it again on a flight a few weeks ago without headphones. I didn't need them since I knew the movie line-for-line.
I still remember dragging one of my friends with me to see this when it first came out - he had his reservations. We both left the theater physically exhausted. We both got in the car and were like: "I think we just saw the greatest movie of all time!"

Gone Girl - 9/10. Great thriller. Loved it except for some really unbelievable policework at the end.

Snowpiercer - 7/10 Relatively good and worth a watch, but not the life-altering movie some have made it out to be. Some pandering to the audience. I fucking HATE "explanation videos" in the middle of the movie, i.e. Jurassic Park's visitor's video. That's just lazy writing.

Snowpiercer - 6/10. Agree that it's very over-hyped. It's a new Ice Age, and all the survivors live on a train that travels around the world on a once-a-year circuit. They've been on board for 18 years. Battle between the poor at the back of the train with the rich at the front.

The Interview
6.5 /10
Had it's moments. Probably would have been funnier in the theater.

The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies
7/10
This whole trilogy lacks what the Lord of the Rings had...actually caring about the characters and becoming immersed in that world. I remember seeing Fellowship of the Rings in the theater and being utterly disappointed it had to end. I never had that feeling with the Hobbit movies.

So it's not being overhyped where you are then? Lol. Only downside is Nicole Kidman. Her overacting is at its best in this.

Executive Decision - 8/10. Awesome Kurt Russell thriller/action flick from 1996. Eerie to watch now as it's about middle eastern terrorists taking over a jet liner to use it as a weapon. Steven Seagal's only in the first 20 minutes. Actually, even though it wasn't a Jack Ryan movie, this is the best Jack Ryan movie.
