The Big Short 8.5/10 Really great look into the mortgage collapse and guys that made a profit with it.

Steve Jobs 5/10 It was boring to me.

Bridge Of Spies 6/10 Good, but predictable. Nothing New from Spielberg of Hanks.

99 Homes 7/10 I liked this movie a lot. Andrew Garfield was great in it. Pretty far fetched, but a good little movie.

Sicaro 9/10. Great Great Movie. Watch it.

I think the camera work and the editing are both worthy of at least being nominated. Those fights (especially the very first one) have a look and feel that has never been achieved before in any boxing film.
The one-take fight sequence was great for sure. SPECTRE also had s "one-take" opening; however, there was clever editing and it was shot from a few cameras. Regardless, it was still pretty amazing.
The single-take was very effective indeed.
Also... I rather liked how, depending on who was winning at that moment, that's who "you" were. The camera was the surrogate for whoever was dominant. Very clever indeed.

I get screeners. I am in the Directors Guild.

Big Short is great. See It when it comes out.

The Paperboy (2012) - 7/10:
The infamous movie where Nicole Kidman (who's very hot in here) allegedly pisses on Zac Efron. That scene is actually the least "shocking". John Cusack as a serial killer is pretty cool. Not bad overall.

Lilith (1964) - 6/10:
Warren Beaty works at a mental hospital where Jean Seberg is nuts and fucks everybody (for instance, Peter Fonda) and talks like a hipster. Everybody dies.

Dark City (1998) - 6/10:
Corny as fuck, but Jennifer Connelly is hot and I'm a sucker for pseudo metaphysical sci-fi crap (that isn't The shit Matrix). Everything looks 80s as hell.

American Sniper 7/10. God this movie made me mad at america for what it does to the minds of it's soldiers - and i'm american. How the hell do you ever recover after going through what these guys go through, and then you don't provide them with the real help and support they will probably need for life because ptsd is not fully recognized as a real ailment.

The movie was well made but the ending felt like it was thrown together at the last second to get it out to theatres. That's my only complaint with the overall film editing.
fuck off, kid. I have ticket stubs older than you.

First time seeing this movie. Never heard one person say anything negative
about the film. Was told this movie is among the best "baseball" movies, etc.
What a steaming pile of shit.
From the cornfields of Iowa, to the poor acting and a script that should have
been tossed in the bin, this movie cannot touch great baseball movies like
Bull Durham, Eight Men Out, The Natural, A League Of Their Own, just to
name a few
It's not a baseball movie asshole. It's a father/son relationship movie that has baseball. You have to be a Yankee fan.

And you have no soul.

I cannot put into words how bad this movie was. The entire movie was about 2 people not speaking to eachother in a hotel room for like a month without so much as a radio.

Iron Man 3 - 3/10. This movie sucks on so many levels, I don't have enough time in a year to list them all. Seriously, how, HOW did this happen?

And the 3 points for Guy Pearce!

The Wild Life (1984) Cameron Crowe's quasi sequel to Fast Times. Good 80's period piece, soundtrack by Eddie Van Halen. Heard a riff that wound up on 5150. Sean Penn's brother and Eric Stoltz star. 7/10

The Danish Girl 3/10

Boring. Eddie Radmayne was pretty good. The girl that plays his wife is super hot. Neither of those make the movie worth watching.

Possession (1981) - 7/10:
Polish art horror film shot in West Berlin, in French. Good shit, almost Lynchian. Isabelle Adjani is crazy here, but also sort of annoying sometimes. I haven't heard this much screaming at an Anal Cunt concert.

Et Dieu... créa la femme / ...And God Created Woman (1956) - 3/10:
Brigitte Bardot became famous with this, I guess. I don't get it. Her movies suck, her face sucks, and she's a Nazi. Why do people like her, like at all?

Snow Angels (2007) - 7/10:
Depressing as fuck. Except for Kate Beckinsale's stuff.

No way this movie would be made today PG rating with some boobs, blatant racism...... Cool to see John/Joan Cusack and Jami Gertz in very small roles

30 Days of Night- comic book movie about vampires descending upon an alaskan town that remains in darkness for 30 days. Not bad, a hyper violent antidote to the romantic sparkly vampires of recent years. 6/10

Cool. Been thinking about checking this out just for Mark Ruffalo. The guy is gold in everything.
