The Neon Demon(2016) Elle Fanning, Jena Malone, Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks. After 90 minutes i was wondering this was classified has an horror movie but then it happened. Movie is visually stunning and the babes are hot , If you are into necrophilia Jena Malone has a pretty hot lesbian scene with a corpse. 7/10

The Girl on the Train - 7/10
A vibe similar to Gone Girl with a much more satisfying ending.

I'm not one for musicals. Usually hate them... didn't even want to see this, but my wife wanted to. Holy crap was this a really well made movie. The first scene is outstanding how it was shot. The end too. The same director as Whiplash....another great movie.

What a great movie. Don't read about it, just go see it. Half of it is in subtitles.but definitely worth it.

I'll never get enough of her. It's not the same old stuff that's been rehashed over and over on those old news reels. Some of the scenes are of her in private with the kids, and it shows her talking with a reporter about all the details of his assassination. Which makes me think it's all made up conversations for the movie. How can anybody know what she said behind closed doors at the time? Especially since she was fiercely private. In the movie she tells the reporter he may NOT write about anything she told him. The matinee was sold out. Mostly old people that lived thru it. The young ones don't care. There's a neat YouTube of Jackie showing off the White House after she redecorated it. I love biographies.johnk5150 wrote:Ive read good things.Bighole wrote:"JACKIE"

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Casanegra (2008) - 8/10:
Moroccan crime drama about two young wannabe street hustlers in Casablanca who have no perspective and want to get rich quick or get away. Very realistic and nevertheless cool portrayal of downtown Casablanca youth. Even the stereotyped side characters manage to create an authentic reflection of Moroccan societal problems. And beyond all that it's simply entertaining to watch a different style from generic Western cinema.
Crimson Peak (2015) - 5/10:
Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain are hot-ish and the movie looked creepy and awesome, but everybody was retarded and ghosts fucking suck.
Albatross (2011) - 6/10:
Predictable story about girl banging her BFF's daddy, both of whom have a shitty "aspiring writer" subplot. Whatever, Jessica Brown Findlay is hot as fuck, shows tits, talks dirty. Solid.
Chernobyl Diaries (2012) - 4/10:
Bunch of annoying teens visit Chernobyl, horror stuff happens. Despite the premise, it actually starts out promising and they got a cool atmosphere going, then everybody's just stupid as fuck and when the zombies arrive it's all lost already.
Rush (1991) - 6/10:
Jennifer Jason Leigh in an undercover cop trash flick about Heroin addiction. I'll watch any shit with her in it, but objectively this was pretty useless. Saved by the role of Gregg Allman as the kingpin drug lord and a cool soundtrack by Eric Clapton.

Vertigo (1958)
I really liked it, except the ending (not what happened, but the way it was executed).

"Fences" - 9/10
Tremendous performances and a great script by August Wilson based on his play. Washington and Davis were two of five original performers brought to the movie from the Broadway revival. Sure it feels like a play, but Washington did a really good job adding visual and cinematic touches, keeping the camera moving enough to not end up with a static result.

A Monster Calls
8.5/10
Damn this was a sad movie. Not sure who this was made for, though. It's not a feel good happy ending family movie. I don't think it's good for kids under 10 due to the subject matter. It is well made movie.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Carrie (2013) - 6/10:
Wasn't really interested in this remake at all, but it's way better than I feared. Granted, it's exaggerated and pandering to a shit audience, but it's a decent update for the times and Chloë Grace Moretz is adorable.
Adore (2013) - 5/10:
Naomi Watts and Robin Wright are BFFs who overtly bang each other's sons. Superb premise, obviously, but they fucked it up of course: you never see these depraved cougar sluts properly strutting their MILF stuff. Everybody is rich as fuck and obnoxious and shallow and just ridiculous. The characters are such nondescript caricatures that you can't even be sure the dudes aren't banging their own mothers at some point, since they're basically the same fucking boring-as-shit role.
Two Days, One Night - 7/10:
French drama with Marion Cotillard about small town factory workers struggling to keep their shit jobs while raising conflicts of solidarity, integrity, exploitation, depression and profound contemporary shit like that. Cotillard is great.
The Immigrant (2013) - 7/10:
Marion Cotillard is a Polish vaudeville whore in New York in the 20s and Joaquin Phoenix is her pimp.
Bobby Deerfield (1977) - 6/10:
Al Pacino as a race car driver who falls in love with some gravely ill psycho bitch, played by Marthe Keller, who's pretty hot. They basically move around and bicker for two hours. There's also long-ass scenes of inane car racing, which totally sucks.
