Ahhh another day in gool ol' Trumpistan..

A 64-year-old Florida man tried to set a convenience store on fire because he thought the owners were Muslim, St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara said.

Richard Lloyd told deputies he wanted to “run the Arabs out of our country” so he pushed a dumpster in front of the Port St. Lucie store and set the contents on fire, Mascara said in a news release posted on Facebook.

Lloyd told detectives he assumed the owner was Muslim and that angered him because of “what they are doing in the Middle East,” Mascara said.

“It’s unfortunate that Mr. Lloyd made the assumption that the store owners were Arabic when, in fact, they are of Indian descent,” Mascara said.

The sheriff said Lloyd’s mental health will be evaluated and the state attorney’s office will decide if this was a hate crime.

The fire at the Met Mart in Port St. Lucie was quickly put out Friday morning and did not cause much damage, Mascara said. The store was closed and protected by security shutters.

According to CNN affiliate WPEC, Lloyd told investigators he tried to buy a bottle of Tropicana orange pineapple juice at the store a few days ago but was told they didn’t have any. He was also upset because he assumed the store employee was Muslim, WPEC said, citing the investigative report.

Lloyd told investigators he planned to burn the building because he “was doing his part for America,” WPEC said.

When deputies arrived Friday morning and found the fire, a man in front of the store put his hands behind his back and told officers to “take me away,” Mascara said.

Lloyd was charged with first-degree arson and booked into the St. Lucie County Jail in lieu of a $30,000 bond.

Lum, you try to create this narrative that our country is plagued by white hate crime. Is this true??

In 2015, race was reported for 5,493 known hate crime offenders. Of these offenders:

48.4 percent were White.
24.3 percent were Black or African American.
9.1 percent were groups made up of individuals of various races (group of multiple races).
1.0 percent (53 offenders) were Asian.
0.9 percent (52 offenders) were American Indian or Alaska Native.
0.1 percent (4 offenders) were Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander.
16.2 percent were unknown.

https://ucr.fbi.gov/hate-crime/2015/hom ... ders_final

How do these numbers compare to overall US population??? Not seeing whites disproportionately committing hate crimes

US population by race:
64% White
16% Hispanic
12% Black
5% Asian

Are hate crimes trending out of control??? Are they a major epidemic?? Hmmmm

2015 - 5850 incidents
2014 - 5479 incidents
2013 - 5928 incidents
2012 - 5796 incidents
2011 - 6222 incidents
2010 - 6628 incidents

By your reasoning, Islamic terrorism shouldn't even be on the radar as it is a statistically insignificant amount of all violent crime.

US Attorney Preet Bharara Was Investigating Fox News When Trump Fired Him
https://mediamatters.org/research/2017/ ... him/215644
President Donald Trump’s decision to fire U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara happened as Bharara’s office was reportedly probing Fox News over its alleged failure to inform shareholders about repeated settlements for allegations of sexual harassment and assault by former Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes and other executives against female employees. Reports indicate Trump may pick one of Ailes’ former lawyers to replace Bharara.

I have never tried to create the narrative that white hate crime is plaguing America.. Racial hatred has been around longer than you and I have been alive and will continue on until it and religion destroys human life here on earth...

I HAVE noticed that this certain upswing in white hate crimes seem to mirror a certain political figure and his xenophobic rhetoric that have made many white people seem to believe it gives them carte blanche to do their part to kick out people they believe to be of Middle Eastern descent they view as illegals, terrorists and extremists..

I know you get all weak kneed when someone may suggest that a white male in today's America would actually resort to hate speech towards a minority, such as when you chastised Insane Clown Potsie for his posting about what he encountered at a gas station by a Drumpftard, or perhaps shoot and kill someone they view as Muslim (but were really Hindu from India) and tell them to "Get out of my country" or walk up to a Sikh man working in his driveway and tell him "Get out of our country, go back to where you're from" and shooting him, but please ignore the fact that these crimes are happening more frequently and all seem to have a certain similar ring of someone trying to make 'Murica great again...
They're probably #false flag hoaxes anyway right?

I'd like to hear the honest thoughts from the Drumpftards on here on their feelings on their president, after years of twittering outrage against Obama for his golf games and vacations costing taxpayers approximately 12 million a year during his tenure and a reported total of $96,938,882.51 for his 8 years in office feel about their current president's vacation and golfing trips in the first 45 days of his presidency costing around $10-12.5 million? This from a guy who claimed he wouldn't be golfing, he'd be a working president.

This is not counting the money for secret service protection and lodging on Drumpf's son's overseas trips. According to a $37.4m reimbursement claim filed with Congress at the time of the inauguration, New York City spends $500,000 a day protecting Trump tower where the first lady and his son stay, mostly in police overtime costs. The estimated cost totaled so far on March 1st was $56.5 million owed to the city of NYC.

A trip by Eric Trump in January to visit a condominium development in Uruguay produced a hotel bill of $97,830 for secret service and staff. Other expensive overseas trips he has taken on family business so far this year include visits to the Dominican Republic (polo grounds, hotel, golf course); Dubai (golf course); and Vancouver (hotel), so if you take the average almost $97k like the Uruguay trip, that is around 400k of your tax money, NOT Drumpf Inc money, being spent on these trips that we know of, so far..

Where is your outrage on your tax dollars being spent for the Florida trips, his son's and Drumpf Tower protection in the first 50-60 days in?

Guy walks past me today on the sidewalk at the curb, and as we intersect , pretty much right next to each other, he quietly mutters "piece of shit Jews." I stop for a second and turn around as I watch him cross the street, thinking, "Did that guy actually just say...?" Now I actually am Jewish by birth but religious at about maybe 5%. Still, I think to myself, "You know me and what I am?" Not two blocks from my place. I was heading down to meet some people for dinner. The guy was kind of dressed like he had a home to go to but seemed to be carrying a TV or something heavy in a nondescript box, so I'm thinking I don't know if he lives right near me. After another couple of seconds I decided I didn't need the aggravation so I shrugged and just carried on. Let it be this clown's problem. But this is Santa Monica, California, and I was not expecting that.

Then you start wondering about whether or not these same individuals were piping up before the election or if this emboldenment is new.

Murdoch, Koch Bros & Putin running the country. Trump is merely their puppet.

The Big Winner in Donald Trump’s Decision to Fire Preet Bharara Might Be Rupert Murdoch
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/20 ... rdoch.html
Image

Since Election Day, Murdoch, now the executive chairman of Fox News, has personally nudged the network in a more pro-Trump direction, sources tell me. That effort included anointing Trump-friendly Tucker Carlson as the successor to Megyn Kelly as host in the 9 p.m. slot. Fox News staffers are also grumbling that segments now have to fit a “pro-Trump narrative,” one insider told me. Trump seems to be returning the goodwill: He asked Murdoch to submit names for FCC commissioner and tweeted praise for Fox News. He’s even taken policy ideas from the network. Now Murdoch may be poised to reap a much bigger win from a Trump administration action.

The White House Takes Its Attacks On Jobs Data To A New (And Dangerous) Level
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/th ... ous-level/

President Trump’s budget director on Sunday accused the Obama administration of “manipulating” economic data to make the unemployment rate look lower than it really was. That claim isn’t supported by evidence and will likely contribute to fears about the Trump administration’s commitment to honest reporting of government data.

It's funny how the Obamacare thing has turned into some kind of political murder/suicide mission for these nitwits. They know their plan is shit and it's not going to work but just the act of repealing the ACA is it's own incredibly ill-advised goal. They don't give a fuck about the fallout which will likely consist of people dying from inadequate healthcare. It's going to make them all look like monumental idiots and in the end Trump will pass the buck and try to spin it as being the mandate of the people.

Spicer: Trump didn't mean wiretapping when he tweeted about wiretapping

The White House on Monday walked back a key point of President Donald Trump's unsubstantiated allegation that President Barack Obama wiretapped his phones in Trump Tower during the 2016 election.
Namely, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Trump wasn't referring to wiretapping when he tweeted about wiretapping.
"I think there's no question that the Obama administration, that there were actions about surveillance and other activities that occurred in the 2016 election," Spicer said. "The President used the word wiretaps in quotes to mean, broadly, surveillance and other activities."

Wiretapping is a narrowly defined surveillance activity that involves tapping into "a telephone or telegram wire in order to get information," according to Merriam-Webster dictionary.
Spicer also said that Trump was referring to the Obama administration broadly -- and not accusing Obama of personal involvement -- when he tweeted that "Obama had my 'wires tapped' in Trump Tower" and accused Obama of being a "bad" or "sick guy."

Spicer's comments came on the same day as the deadline for the Justice Department to provide evidence to the House Intelligence Committee to back up Trump's claim. The White House has so far refused to provide any evidence, and numerous former officials have denied the existence of any warrant to wiretap Trump Tower.
A week earlier, Spicer said Trump's tweet "speaks for itself" and declined to provide any further explanation.

But Monday, Spicer was open to providing an interpretation for Trump's tweet, saying the President told Spicer he was referring to means of surveillance beyond wiretapping in his tweets accusing Obama of doing just that.
Spicer doesn't reject concept of 'Deep State'
But in each of the four tweets Trump fired off leveling the accusation, Trump referred specifically to phone tapping -- and only used quotation marks in two of those.
"Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my 'wires tapped' in Trump Tower just before the victory," Trump said in his first tweet.
"Is it legal for a sitting President to be 'wire tapping' a race for president?" he asked in the next.
Then, Trump tweeted that Obama "was tapping my phones in October" and had stooped low "to tapp (sic) my phones during the very sacred election process."
Image
Image

But Spicer was not the only White House official to provide an alternative definition of the word "wiretap" despite Trump's clear language.
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway also addressed the wiretapping claims in an interview Sunday with the Bergen County Record, suggesting that other covert surveillance methods used by the CIA -- as revealed by Wikileaks last week -- could have been used in Trump Tower by the Obama administration.

"Do you know whether Trump Tower was wiretapped?" Bergen County Record columnist Mike Kelly asked Conway on Sunday.
"What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other," Conway said, before suggesting that surveillance could take place through phones, TVs or "microwaves that turn into cameras."
