Next year, 'The Matrix' turns TWENTY.

The Abyss, 30. Already.

I wonder what Carrie-Anne Moss had to do for Harvey, to get her role?

I figured, she could have parlayed her role in one of the highest grossing movies of all-time, into a highly sought after acting career. Maybe, I'm misremembering her part.

I would assume nothing, since it was a Warner Brothers movie and Weinstein had nothing to do with it.

Could have sworn Weinstein Co. were involved. Fuck.

I've not seen it. We rented it at a friend's birthday party once, but I went upstairs and fingered his sister instead.

I watched it a few weeks ago for the first time ages. Holds up well. Remember seeing it the cinema when it was first released. Just feels like yesterday.

The sequels - meh.

Heard they are talking about rebooting it. I really hope not!

Garbage. The script is like a shrimper's net of every science fiction author's ideas from the previous 40 years. The CGI stuff is silly and awful. The late 90s are when the industry started down their downward trajectory.

You're running (or have run) that scam, aren't you? Dead serious question here.

I've never seen any of these or any of the Fast and Furious series.

Am I missing anything?

I hate The Matrix a lot. Kung-fu is uploaded into a guy's brain. Also, aliens use human bodies as batteries. Stupid.

I tried watching the sequel once. Even worse. I think I made it 20 minutes.

I’ve not seen any of the Fast and the Furious movies, either. Possibly the franchise I’m least interested in of any, including all the dumb superhero and Transformer ones. There is something absolutely repellent about it.

The F&F movies got a lot better around Fast Five when they realized the series is stupid so they decided to as over-the-top as possible.

The early films are just people driving fast. Paul Walker was a cop who goes undercover in a street racing gang. By the fifth film, they're INTERNATIONAL SPIES.

They're completely idiotic films, but far from the worst franchise out there. I would say Transformers wins that honor.

I've tried to watch it on cable a few times but it never kept my interest.
