As far as North Korea goes, the reason the negotiations are happening have nothing to do with President Trump's antics and rhetoric over the past year, and it doesn't have anything to do with Kim Jong Un's policies. This was initiated long ago by the South Korean and North Korean governments themselves, for the first time, and that's why it has a better chance of succeeding than previously US lead diplomatic talks. Furthermore 67% of South Koreans support the US/NK summit and only 11% oppose. It may still fail, but you should support any potential progress that can be achieved to lessen tensions with a nuclear power, and/or North South normalization of relations. That's the only way (aside from regime change) that will reduce NK's human rights violations and nuclear hubris.

It's not the people of the US or Western Europe's lives at stake, it's the Koreans.

I don't disagree with North Korea negotiations at all, I object to the double standard. It sets a shitty standard for any future agreements. And legitimizing human rights violations like Drumpf just did is never acceptable, in this case necessary, or even at all helpful, as far as South Korea is concerned.

The North Korea situation underlines why any country would be crazy to give up the bomb. All this is is "normalizing" relations with a new nuclear power. We have to do this. It's only smart.


Saddam gave up the bomb and we saw what happened. Iran will be nuts to give up their nuclear ambitions and they won't. We once said Pakistan can never get the bomb, they did, and now the US doesn't fuck much with Pakistan.

This isn;'t very hard to figure out and the North Koreans are not dummies. Countries with the bomb do not get invaded. They played it like they had to.

After being "caught" in a blatant lie about German crime rates (actually at a 25 year low, down over 5% from 2017), Drumpf is publicly accusing our government of forging statistics and lying to the public (about "true" unreported crime rates he somehow has exclusive access to). It's beyond me how they still let him get away with it.
