The only one who could truly decimate him is Buttigieg, and he won’t be getting the nom. Sanders will look old and frail next to Trump, Warren will fall into any trap he sets for her, and Biden is a joke. I desperately hope the next four years go by quickly.

I really like Pete, but I honestly don't think he's nasty enough to successfully deal with Trump one on one. He needs to show me he can fight REALLY dirty. Decency will have to be disregarded until the election is over. So far, Bloomberg seems to be the only candidate willing to stoop to Trump's level, as far as name calling goes.

I agree with you on Pete's knowledge and pointing out facts, however Trump will also point out "facts" (as he does now), they just won't be true and no one calls him out. The democratic candidate needs to call him out and ask for specific questions on his BS and then watch him dodge and eventually meltdown as the debate goes on all while keeping their own composure. Who can do that?

I don't really care all that much about who I think would school Trump on the debate stage. No one who isn't already convinced by Trump isn't going to vote for him again. People who aren't convinced are already going to vote for whichever candidate isn't him.

Bernie has zero chance of getting his policies past the Republicans. He's a figurehead for an ideology that won't fly. I don't think he'll temper his zeal for wiping Republicans off the map enough to get them to do anything he wants to do. Pete, at least, may be able to slip through a little easier with his more moderate approach, and he's not as empty-headed as Biden. Sure, Pete won't get much done, either, but he's got a better shot than Bernie does, and maybe he can get the ball rolling a bit so that we can move ahead easier in the future.
This is all presuming that the DNC lets either Pete or Bernie in, which is questionable, given their propensity for the status quo and their previous fuckery with Bernie.

If he progressed further up the career ladder, he would regularly have too take down wannabe Trumps in meetings.

McKinsey may be ridiculously expensive and have some dubious clients, but they are, or at least were before and during Buttigieg's time, the best at what they did.

Here's a question: Is it not illegal to take vindictive revenge against people who testified in a congressional hearing? Trump has fired the Vindman brothers and Gordon Sondland and has not really made much of an effort to smokescreen his reasoning for it. These guys were SUBPOENAED to testify under oath in the hearings and simply chose not to perjure themselves. It seems that should be grounds for impeachment in itself. Witness intimidation/retaliation.

I loved all the anti-Trump stuff in the new episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm last night. I post on another board that has mouth-frothing Trump weirdos who also happen to be big Curb fans. It's hilarious watching them bend themselves into pretzels trying to spin all the MAGA hat jokes. "I saw it as the show parodying the TDS that's so prevalent in LA and Hollywood."

President Donald Trump on Monday doubled down on his assertion that the injuries suffered by US troops during an Iranian missile attack on US forces are "not very serious."

"I saw the missiles. We saw them going ... They landed in a way that they didn't hit anybody," Trump told Fox Business' Trish Regan.

The president said that he "stopped something that would have been very devastating for" the Iranians, an apparent reference to US de-escalation in the aftermath of the attack.
