Trump tells GOP committees to stop using his name for fundraising
https://www.vox.com/2021/3/6/22317147/t ... undraising
Former President Donald Trump demanded that the Republican National Committee (RNC) and two GOP campaign organizations stop using his name and likeness for fundraising, on Friday, according to a report from Politico.
Trump lawyers reportedly sent cease and desist orders not just to the RNC, but the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), which are spearheading Republican efforts to retake the Senate and the House in the 2022 midterms, respectively.
Trump is also doing his best to channel money from Republican donors through his own fundraising channels, instead of groups like the NRSC.
“There’s only one way to contribute to our efforts to elect America-first Republican conservatives and in turn to make America great again, and that’s through Save America PAC and donaldjtrump.com,” he told supporters at CPAC last weekend.
Should Republican donors heed the former president’s call, Trump will likely be able to influence coming elections not just by using his popularity to provide endorsements, but by using his PACs to rival efforts by the RNC, NRSC, and NRCC.

U.S. Supreme Court dumps last of Trump's election appeals
https://www.aol.com/news/u-supreme-cour ... 53175.html
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday disposed of the last of three cases brought to the justices by former President Donald Trump challenging his election loss, bringing a muted end to his futile quest in the courts to hold onto power.
The court without comment rejected Trump's appeal challenging thousands of absentee ballots filed in Wisconsin, an election battleground that the Republican businessman-turned-politician lost to Democrat Joe Biden by more than 20,000 votes. Biden became president on Jan. 20.
It was the last of three petitions filed at the Supreme Court near the end of Trump's presidency that the justices declined to take up. The court on Feb. 22 turned away Trump's other two appeals - a second Wisconsin challenge and one relating to voting in Pennsylvania, another pivotal state Trump lost. Lower courts previously had ruled against Trump in those three cases.
It already was clear that the high court, which includes three justices appointed by Trump, had no intention to intervene in the cases and others filed by his allies because it did not act before Congress on Jan. 6 certified Biden's victory. That formal certification was interrupted when a pro-Trump mob stormed the U.S. Capitol.

The Trumps are now looking into the possibility of a South Florida Trump casino.
This can only be disastrous for Trump, who has already run several casinos into the ground. So I think he should do it! But it's clear the guy is desperate for cash as he gets closer to having the bill come due on his loans.

Donald Trump makes surprise speech at dog rescue fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago
https://www.fox13news.com/news/donald-t ... mar-a-lago
PALM BEACH, Fla. - Former President Donald Trump surprised attendees at a dog rescue fundraiser held at Mar-a-Lago.
The fundraiser for Big Dog Ranch Rescue took place Friday, March 12 at Trump's Palm Beach resort.
Videos from the event showed the crowd cheering as Trump took to the stage for an impromptu speech. The former president said he was unprepared to speak but was passing by the event and heard people screaming, so he decided to make an appearance.
He praised the organization for its mission to help rescue dogs and find them forever homes. "We had many meetings in the White House and the Oval Office having to do with saving and helping dogs."
"What you’re doing is so important and so great and so important and I’m with you 100 percent," he told the crowd.

Trump is still defending Capitol rioters: 'They’re hugging and kissing the police'
https://www.aol.com/entertainment/trump ... 25733.html
During a phone interview with The Ingraham Angle Thursday night, former President Donald Trump defended the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol on January 6 in an attempt to stop certification of the presidential election. Despite Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick dying as a result of the attack, and hundreds more officers sustaining injuries in the violent attack, many of them severe, Trump grossly mischaracterized the events of that day.
“It was zero threat. Right from the start, it was zero threat,” Trump said. “Look, they went in, they shouldn't have done it. Some of them went in, and they’re hugging and kissing the police and the guards, you know, they had great relationships.”
Trump also derided the fact that authorities are in the process of arresting hundreds of his supporters for their part in the attack, falsely claiming that they were waved in. Nearly 400 have already been arrested with more arrests expected in the coming weeks.
“A lot of the people were waived in, and they walked in and they walked out,” Trump said, “and I'll tell you what, they are doing things to those — they’re persecuting a lot of those people, and some of them should be — some things should happen to them.”

He's just getting his base fired up to vote for him again in 2024. He can't say anything bad about the rioters because that is kind of his base there.

Facebook pulls Donald Trump video from Lara Trump’s accounts, citing suspension of ex-president
https://www.aol.com/news/facebook-pulls ... 30633.html
Facebook has removed an interview between Donald Trump and his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, from the latter’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, with the social-media giant citing its suspension of the former president.
On Jan. 7, the day after a pro-Trump mob attacked the U.S. Capitol, Facebook said it was suspending Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts indefinitely. CEO Mark Zuckerberg cited the risk of ongoing violence for the decision. Twitter banned Trump permanently on Jan. 8, and other internet companies have taken similar actions to “deplatform” Trump.
Lara Trump, who is married to Eric Trump, on Tuesday had announced that Donald Trump would be joining her online news show “The Right View” (which was previously produced by the Trump 2020 campaign) that evening.
But shortly after the episode went up on her Facebook and Instagram pages, the video was pulled down. Lara Trump posted messages her team evidently received from the company explaining the removals.
“We are reaching out to let you know that we removed content from Lara Trump’s Facebook Page that featured President Trump speaking,” one of the messages read. “In line with the block we placed on Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, further content posted in the voice of Donald Trump will be removed and result in additional limitations on the accounts.”
According to the description of the interview on Lara Trump’s The Right View site, in the 18-minute video the ex-president discusses “social media censorship, China, Joe Biden, the FAKE NEWS, and a potential 2024 run!” The interview is available on upstart video platform Rumble, which became popular among Trump supporters after the election; as of Wednesday afternoon, it had more than 320,000 views.
Meanwhile, Lara Trump has joined Fox News as a contributor even as she is considering launching a run for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina.
The question of whether Donald Trump will ever be allowed back on Facebook or Instagram is to be decided by the company’s Oversight Board. In a January blog post, Nick Clegg, Facebook’s VP of global affairs and communications, said that while Facebook believes the decision to block Trump “was necessary and right,” the company also thinks it is important for the board to “reach an independent judgment on whether it should be upheld.” Clegg noted that, under the Oversight Board’s charter, the decisions it makes are binding and, allegedly, cannot be overruled by Zuckerberg “or anyone else at Facebook.”
A review of more than 6,000 of Trump’s posts on Facebook from 2020 by progressive watchdog group Media Matters released in February 2021 found that more than one-fourth of them included lies about the 2020 election, COVID-19 misinformation or “extreme rhetoric about his critics.”

Trump’s Ex-Bodyguard Is Still Waiting For The Former-President To Pay Him Back For A $130 McDonald’s Order
https://uproxx.com/viral/donald-trump-b ... mcdonalds/
The only thing that Donald Trump likes more than himself is McDonald’s. He asked White House chefs to recreate a Quarter Pounder; served a buffet of fast food items, including greasy “hamberders” from McD’s, to the Clemson Tigers football team after they won the national championship; and his former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski claimed a typical dinner for the former-president consisted of “two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a small chocolate shake – a total of 2,430 calories.” But while Trump may love to recline in bed with a McDonald’s cheeseburger (who doesn’t), he doesn’t love paying people back for McDonald’s.
Kevin McKay, who worked as a bodyguard for Trump for five years, told the Daily Mail that the former-president owes him $130 for a McDonald’s order that he paid for back in 2008. “He told me he would pay me back, but he never did,” he said. “For much of the time I was working for him, I kept thinking he would say, ‘Kevin, here’s that money I owe you,’ but it didn’t happen. I thought he was an OK guy when I first started working for him, but I guess that as we have all come to see, he is not a man of his word.”
I bet Trump never chipped in for gas money, either.
Trump didn’t have any local currency, so “he asked me if I could front him the cash,” McKay revealed. “I said, ‘Sure’ and took everyone’s order – about 20 cheeseburgers and fries with around 10 or 15 Coca Colas. I think Mr. Trump ordered two cheeseburgers with fries and a Diet Coke – that was his usual order and he always wanted McDonald’s to take with him on the private jet. It cost me about £95 in total and Mr. Trump told me, ‘You’ll get it back.’ … I never heard about it again after that. I should have asked him for the money, but I brushed it under the carpet.” Thirteen years later, he’s still waiting.
I’m beginning to think this Trump guy isn’t a man of his word.

Like mafia bosses, GOP tells donors they'll tell Trump they are defectors if they don't give monthly

It is hard to believe the depths to which the Republican Party headed by Donald Trump would go to. Now the GOP is intimidating their supporters. They are acting like mafia bosses to coerce their donors to give monthly.

Trump slashes at McConnell as he reiterates election falsehoods at Republican event

Former president Donald Trump called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell a “dumb son of a bitch” as he used a Saturday night speech to Republicans to blame him for not helping overturn the 2020 election and reiterated false assertions that he won the November contest.
“If that were Schumer instead of this dumb son of a bitch Mitch McConnell they would never allow it to happen. They would have fought it,” he said of election certifying on Jan. 6, the day his supporters led an insurrection on the Capitol to block Joe Biden’s formal victory.
Trump spent much of the speech, with many senators in the room, lashing into his former ally in personal terms, often to cheers from the party’s top donors. He falsely claimed that he won the Senate election for McConnell in Kentucky and attacked his wife, Elaine Chao, who served as Trump’s transportation secretary.
“I hired his wife. Did he ever say thank you?” Trump said. He then mocked Chao for resigning in response to the Jan. 6 events and Trump’s behavior that day.
He falsely said that most Democrats also believe he won but just won’t say so out loud, an attendee said.
Trump said the crowd at his rally preceding the Capitol attack was so large — falsely claiming that “some people say it was over a million people” — because supporters were upset about fraud and said he was “disappointed” in Vice President Mike Pence for certifying the election later that day. He expressed no regret about his actions on that day, nor about those of the Capitol rioters.
rump attacked many of his favorite targets, such as Anthony S. Fauci, the country’s leading epidemiologist, even mocking Fauci for his first pitch last season at Nationals Park — a frequent Trump taunt. He falsely claimed that Fauci only received credit because he opposed Trump, an attendee said, and joked that Fauci wanted people to wear five masks after not initially supporting masks.
“Have you ever seen anybody that is so full of crap?” he said of Fauci.
The former president said, without saying who, that someone recently suggested to him that the vaccine should be called the “Trumpcine.” He bragged about his handling of the pandemic, dismissing the widespread criticism of his approach and not mentioning the more than 500,000 who have died of covid-19.
