Whataburger
I’m in Ft Worth for a bit for work. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries from Whataburger. Should arrive in 15 minutes. Finally get to see if the hype is warranted.

I ate there once over 20 years ago in El Paso and it was nothing special.

Re: Whataburger
A new Whataburger opened up at the interstate exit near my town recently. I haven't been there yet, and I haven't had one since traveling out west with the parents as a child. Think I'll go at some point soon to try it out.

Re: Whataburger
Nothing special. I’d say Carl’s Jr/Hardee’s level. Bigger than BK, McD, and Wendy’s. Lettuce, tomato, and onion were fresh. Not slimy. Liked that the bun was big enough. Shit wasn’t sliding out. Well put together. Well wrapped too (double wrapped). Fries were just basic shoestring fries. Similar to McDonald’s, but not as cooked. Nothing special.
It was good. Probably won’t go again unless someone I’m with wants to go.
In-n-out next week. Have had it before. Wasn’t super impressed, but I was completely hammered that time.

I’m gonna need to try this myself when I get a chance. Looks tasty!

Re: Whataburger
That does. They have a jalapeño burger too. Maybe I’ll give them a shot. I was told today to get their onion rings. Not fries.

It and In and Out are really good compared to McDs, BK, Wendy's etc. I don't have either in Ohio but I do have Five Guys and they're pricey but slamming.

Re: Whataburger
Whataburger gets a lot of hype in Texas, most of it valid.
however, the fries aren't great. onion rings are awesome.

Re: Whataburger
Anyone who chooses the fries over the onion rings has got shit for brains. The onion rings there are the gold standard.

Re: Whataburger
Just tried the new Whataburger near me for dinner tonight. I had the Bacon & Cheese Burger with onion rings. Not the best burger I’ve ever had, but it was still very good!
