Shit is insane. I bought +-5 shares at $200 during the chip shortage thinking some caveman: "They gonna make chips. Rrrrrr...." and now those $200 shares are over $1k each.

I got on the NVDA train back in 2021 when it was around $220, it was up for a while but slowly sank to $120 and I didn't have an exit plan, so I sold when it got to $280 right before it went non-linear.

But I hopped back in last Oct at $420, up huge now, have an exit in place this time if it dips below $850 (nice 100% gain locked in, otherwise to the moon baby!!)

Just reset my NVDA exit plan to exit at $105 post-split (150% profit, x2.5 my purchase price)

Sold some AVGO, cha-ching, I love their CEO!! Still have some I'm sitting on long.

AI is a different thing. No bubble. It's a transformative technology, more like the automobile than some ephemeral shit like the nonsense dot coms in the nineties. (Which, to be fair also yielded some of the world's largest companies in the long run)

A side thing: This thing I have called SMR (NuScale Power) is starting to move up. They make little nuclear plants that you can put anywhere. The idea is that people will power AI data centers with them.

agree with you long term, maybe it's better to say a deflation and not a burst. I like that you can actually do something useful with generative AI, it's not complete speculation. There was some discussion that inflation was not as bad as expected due to productivity gains from AI (get more done with out hiring extra people), that makes sense to me. As in any gold rush invest in pick axes though.

On a separate note, I need to look into the portable nuclear power plants, that sounds nuts. I need one for camping for sure (hey kiddos, check this out !! )

I literally just sold off all my (non-IRA) stock and kept my crypto. Probably should've done the opposite, but I had to pay off some credit card debt. The interest was worse than whatever gains I was making in the market.

Smart! I got screwed by credit card debt for years, eventually succeeded in paying it all off.

The APR's are crazy now, 20%+ seem common, I think mine is around 24%??

I pay off my credit card on a weekly basis now, it's easy because it's online. I have not paid a cent in interest EVER (around 7 years at least) and they give me a percentage of what I spend back in cash.

I'm up $2500 on cash back for the year, I love they are paying me instead of the other way around haha. How do you like them apples!!
