Did you read the bill?
Did you read the reasons why even some Republicans didn't vote for it?

This bill establishes certain criminal grounds for making non-U.S. nationals (aliens under federal law) inadmissible and expands the crimes for which a non-U.S. national is deportable.
First, the bill establishes that a non-U.S. national is inadmissible if the individual has admitted to or is convicted of acts constituting the essential elements of stalking, child abuse, child neglect, child abandonment, a sex offense, conspiracy to commit a sex offense, a violation of certain protection orders, or domestic violence (including physical or sexual abuse or a pattern of coercive behavior when it occurs within certain close relationships).
Next, the bill establishes additional grounds for deportation. Under current law, a non-U.S. national is deportable for certain criminal convictions, including domestic violence, stalking, and child abuse. The bill makes any sex offense (including crimes against minors) or conspiracy to commit a sex offense a basis for deportation. The bill also expands the domestic violence crimes that make a non-U.S. national deportable to include physical or sexual abuse or a pattern of coercive behavior when it occurs within certain close relationships.

I heard E. Jean Carroll will be in charge of deciding what part of Siberia Trump will be deported to.
Corny, cliche, and generic AF
Your little post here is not the language of the bill. Your own post says convictions. Please go read the actual bill.killdrum wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 11:37 am Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act

The language of the bill says that ICE can indefinitely detain immigrants (it does not specify, documented or not, how do they know they are immigrants?) suspected of crimes, including shoplifting. Not charged, not convicted, just suspected. Does that sound constitutional to you? Guilty until proven innocent? Is that where we are now?
Or are you cool with that for people of color?
Is that the ghost from Poltergeist 2?

I LOVE that Melanoma's getting old and even more busted so they have to blur her face like Cher in Burlesque. You can barely see her nose!
THAT'LL teach us not to be friends with Mexicans.killdrum wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 11:34 am BREAKING: President Trump has drastically increased the arrest quota for ICE. He wants them to make up to 1,500 daily arrests, which would be around 540,000 arrests & deportations this year alone.
The quota might also increase after Congress provides the necessary funds.

Yeah, it's great that our crumbling bridge in Providence will no longer get the repairs that it severely needs. Recouping infrastructure funds in order to redistribute it to the elite class is super swampy and not "America First."killdrum wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 1:37 pm Department of Government Efficiency

Another $145M in federal savings due to cancellations of 16 DEIA contracts by the Departments of Labor, Transportation, Agriculture, Commerce, HHS, and Treasury. Thanks to those departments for their pro-active and rapid work.

I love how Conservatives love to pretend they care about children, yet do everything in their power to not only ignore, but support the cause of the leading cause of their death. So disgustingly transparent and fake.
