Ever have a HEART ATTACK??
How old were you?
Did you know you were having a heart attack? It hurt like hell, right?
Were you scared of dying or did you experience a kind of peacefulness?
Are you dead right now? JK LOL!!
(I have not had a heart attack, I'm just getting up there and don't want to ask my dad about his heart attack.)

43 years old.
The night before, I had a pain in my arm. Thought I had just overexerted myself with yard work. Woke up the next morning sweating like crazy, thought I had the heat on too high.
I figured it out pretty quick. It felt like an elephant was stepping on my chest for 15 seconds, then letting off slightly, then doing it again. Over and over.
I was scared of dying for sure. There wasn't any peacefulness about it. Went into the OR and watched them put a stent in. Drifted in and out the entire time, but it was pretty surreal.
And here we are. Don't smoke, kids.
It's not that I'm lazy.....it's that I don't care.

Re: Ever have a HEART ATTACK??
My aunt who we have been helping with various health issues recently had pre-operation MRIs done and they found that in the past two or three months she's had TWO heart attacks. I just can't wrap my head around having something that major happen and not even knowing.

Re: Ever have a HEART ATTACK??
Even though you can be a dick Chip, I wish you the best health and suggest maybe ask your father about his health incase its hereditary. My son is in his mid 30's and I have to tell him about mine since he also won't ask. I do have extra heart beats that show up when I am exhausted or drink more than one red bull a day. It was really bad in my 30's. I went to have all the heart stuff done then. That's when they found it. Said I probably have had it since birth but just was showing up then. I cut out any and all sodas/coffee and tea. Have not had any of that since then. I drink water. lots of water. 1 red bull a day. I don't smoke and I recently stopped drinking the casual beer. I had all the tests on my heart ran again when I turned 50. Still goood at that time.
You got to take care of yourself even if you slide in here and insult my Midwestern brought'ens up

Why is one red bull a day necessary?

First of all, Key, I am from the Midwest. That is the Motherland. I would not insult the Motherland in the way you describe.keyofgee wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 8:44 am Even though you can be a dick Chip, I wish you the best health and suggest maybe ask your father about his health incase its hereditary. Now if I insulted Kentucky? Possible. And would've come from a place of PURE ignorance because I love Kentucky. Went to school there, met a couple of my closest friends there. Terrific state. Kind of an anomaly, right? You're Midwestern but also kinda Southern, is that right? My two favorite kinds of Americans (no kidding) and you get to be both. Very cool.
Good to hear about your health. I'm a ho for hydration so I get stoked seeing people drink water.
Best wishes to you, Key! Say, I noticed you didn't call me a dick when I gave EightBall a good review. (I'm joking. Hopefully by now everyone knows I'm full of it.)

Louisville (aka Luh-vul) but I've been to some of the more rural parts too and everyone's always really nice.

Now you listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you, Sheriff Truman.Wild Obsession wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 9:57 amhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNC0kIzM1FoChip Z'Hoy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 2:05 pmLouisville (aka Luh-vul) but I've been to some of the more rural parts too and everyone's always really nice.

Re: Ever have a HEART ATTACK??
I had pleurisy once when I was 28. Never knew what a heart attack would feel like, but I woke up that morning in extreme chest pain and couldn't move. I'm glad my phone was right next to me so I could call for help. It was the only time I missed work due to sickness/illness since I was 16, and the only time since then.
My father had open-heart surgery when he was a child, one of the first to undergo it at the University of Minnesota, but I led a healthy childhood and adulthood, and he had a lot more stress in his life, whereas I have none. Probably another reason I have a full head of hair, when friends my age are going gray, bald, or have the receding hairline showing up.
