Twisters - I finally got around to watching this . It had a weak , half flushed out back story that went nowhere. The effects were ok and the acting was ok . I’ll give it a 6/10 .

Ichi the Killer 10/10

Free on Tubi 8) Not sure if this is the original uncut version, but there's clearly enough depravity to enjoy, regardless.

The Accountant - love movies like this, John Wick, Jason Statham, etc. even though they defy reality.

For some reason, this missed my radar 9 years ago.

7.5/10 (for me)

Demon City is very much like this. I recommended that a few posts up. If you don't mind reading subtitles . . .

I like watching older movies. I just recently watched "Midnite Cowboy" for the first time. For its time, I give it a 9. It was gritty and New Yorkish.

I had not seen Taxi Driver until about a year ago. Loved it. New York was such a dump back then. My first visit was 1983. Times Square was still XXX theaters and sex shops. Fun times to be in high school.

I’m going to do the same and watch some classics I wouldn’t and couldn’t watch as a 10 year old. When movies told stories rather than blow shit up for 2 hours. I’ve barely seen any old Eastwood or Charles Bronson flicks.

i felt like it was trying too hard to be Part 2 of the original Twister movie without saying it. I also felt like the main female character was modeled as the daughter of Helen hunt from the original one. Once again, implied and not saying it.

Sisu - It was on Netflix , so i had low expectations. - Set in the last moths of WW2 as the Germans are retreating. They cross paths with the Finnish version of John Wick. It was pretty awesome . 8/10 . Very violent !!!!

Deadpool & Wolverine 5/10, some of the fan-service cameo's were cool, but that's about it. I like Ryan Reynold (in moderation), but the non-stop "humor" of Deadpool gets old, fast. Marvel (and "super-hero movies" in general) have been complete garbage for a while now, but Deadpool & Wolverine is essentially more of the same, just wrapped up in R rated comedy, and is definitely not the savior of the genre that the neckbeards would have you believe.

Anora - My wife wanted to watch an Oscar film . I thought she put on a soft core porn at first. Lots of tits , ass and strippers rolling around. The plot is fine but the movie drags on too long. If you took out the nudity i would give it a 4/10 … with it 7/10.

Trap 1/10

M Night Shyamalan's garbage thriller pitched as Silence of the Lambs at a Taylor Swift concert. Not wasting my time describing what was wrong with it because everything was wrong. Piece of shit movie that was worse than a student film.

Stars Josh Hartnett and M Night's nepo daughter playing a pop superstar.

I watched that Gladiator 2 last night because it is free on prime now.

I thought it was shitty shit. Dumb story, miscast lead and wayyyyy too much effort spent trying to tie it to the first movie, which was just distracting and it would have been better without.

I also COULD NOT GET FUCKING OVER Pedro Pascal (who is NOT the star) being FULL-ON BURT REYNOLDS as a Roman general.

Image

It really seemed like a Saturday Night Live skit about how inappropriate that would have been, but at some point they would have had him wink at the camera and blow a bubble with his gum. Maybe shit talk Alex Trebek...all of which would have made this dumb movie infinitely better.

ASH. 2/10. Horrible plot, stupid acting (Elza Gonzalez just can't act, maybe it's all that botox and plastic surgery) and awful FX. It shows how important -and stupid too- it's internet hype and "paid" critics. Most of the reviews were like "excellent movie, the new Alien". It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen, and I know cinema.

i watched the original 1984 last night. Looked more like a tv program that was live and dark. Other than a young Eddie albert and Lorne green, wasn't much to it.

Terminal - A giant pile of shit with Margot Robbie , Simon Pegg and Mike Myers . It tries to be smart, stylish and edgy . It’s boring and idiotic. 1/10
