Without Trump, I might guess that Musk has no interest in real politics. Despite his billions, none of his companies were solely his doing. He's a coattail rider, and it's served him well. I bought a Tesla in late 2021. I'm so fucking embarrassed by it that I put one of those "I bought this before Elon went crazy" stickers on the rear window. Never been a Musk fan, but I have enjoyed the car. Wish I could get something else, but can't right now.
