Do I need to see the Han Solo dies film before this Rogue movie? My boys are dying for me to take them this week but I don't care to spend 2 hours wondering what's going on.

"Patriots Day" - 7.5/10

Very good movie. Yes, it takes a bit of dramatic license, but it's a pretty well-crafted piece. It keeps the sort of rah-rah-America stuff to a minimum (I'm not even sure if I remember a an artfully-composed flag shot), and makes it a relatively respectful and engaging look at those events.

Rogue One takes place before The Force Awakens, so you should be fine. If you know what goes on in A New Hope, you're good.

First 2 in the Thin Man series. William Powell, Myrna Loy and Maureen O'Sullivan. They are funny, well written movies.

The Shop Around the Corner - Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullivan. It's "You Got Mail" only funny.

"Silence" - 8/10

Pretty powerful movie. It's like the Catholic version of "Apocalypse Now," lol. A very long, tough watch, but pretty rewarding, with some great acting and harrowing scenes. My friend, who had read the book, said Scorsese ruined it, which makes me even more curious about the book now.

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children. 5/10.
I'll watch anything Tim Burton puts out, as he and his aesthetic were huge for me in high school, but his movies resonate with me less and less as time goes on. Being able to CGI everything has taken a lot away from his films. I enjoyed it enough, but I'll never have to see it again. Better than the turd that was Dark Shadows.

Devastating movie about early onset Alzheimer's. Julianne Moore was phenomenal.

Batman v Superman:Dawn of Justice. After all the shit i heard i was expecting the worst

Great cast (Ben Affleck Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Holly Hunter, Kevin Costner, Diane lane( who looked old as fuck), Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy irons, jesse Eisenberg was the only one i didnt like) Like most super heroes movie the first 90 minutes introducing the characters, setting up the storylines were great and the end of the movie with just fight scene after fight scene kinda sucked. CGI were so bad that some scenes looked like watching a video game. 7/10

Sully
4/10
Tom Hanks was the right man for the role but the movie about the hero pilot was all wrong.
Instead of concentrating on how much of a hero Sully is, the plot revolved around
whether or not Sully made the correct decision or if he endangered lives by being reckless.

London Town - 7/10

I was drawn to it cause of Jonathan Rhys Meyers portraying Joe Strummer. The story was a bit disjointed at times but the ending was one to make you smile.

Sad, depressing, interesting. Actually showed things about her I didn't already know. Natalie Portman could win again. 10

It's been years but I remember thinking that the movie actually tried to go deeper and explore his troubled family life while the book just brushed over that.

I think part of my dislike was me not loving Emile Hirsch in the title role, not to mention I am usually a bigger fan of book versions over movies.

Il racconto dei racconti: Tale of Tles(2015) Salma Hayek John C Reilly, Vincent Cassel. From just reading the onscreen tv guide i was expecting a fairy tale movie, thats what it was but with Blood, Guts, Boobs and Sex. I wasn't familiar with any of the 3 tales but it is a really well done movie. 7/10

31 - Waited a long time to see this flick. I was very underwhelmed, borderline disappointed. I liked H1000C & TDR much, much, better. Maybe, it's one of those films that takes a few spins on the DVD player before liking it. I don't know??
