The tv series with Russell Crowe as Roger was so much better

I really wanted to like it and I tried, I may have been harsh but I expected sooo much more than a rehash of the first 2 movies, its a wonder they didn't find a way to put Wayne and Garth in the movie, actually that may have saved itHueyRamone wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 8:36 amWow. I know they casted Ted's dad all the way back in the 80s, but to have the same guy as Step Brothers saying "You two guys are in your 40s, you need to go get jobs!" without it even being a sly reference. was a big miss.

It really was the same kind of safe bullshit all movies are these days. Pack it full of nostalgia, bland, feelgood happy ending, and call it a day.BootyDaddy69 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 1:18 pmI really wanted to like it and I tried, I may have been harsh but I expected sooo much more than a rehash of the first 2 movies, its a wonder they didn't find a way to put Wayne and Garth in the movie, actually that may have saved itHueyRamone wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 8:36 amWow. They should have gone meta like Gremlins 2. Like you said, getting Garth, or doing something else crazy would have been cool. It was as safe and stupid as every other "soft reboot" ever is.

Huey, you won't watch superhero movies because they're childish, but you'll shell out $20 bucks to stream Bill and Fucking Ted?

It was for a bday celebration, since we cant do nuthing fun out of the house. Not my pick. I suggested Fury Road at a drive in. but I did like the first one bitd, and hoped this one would be decent.

Class Action Park (2020) Pretty boring documentary about a crazy/unsafe waterpark in new Jersey in the 80's. That place truly was a 80's movie but there wasnt much of a story to tell but some of the rides were insane 5/10

Happy Endings (2005) Tom Arnold, Lisa Kudrow, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Steeve Coogan, Bobby Cannavale, Jessie Bradford( rocking a skid row shirt), Laura Dern, Kudrow showed some tits, Maggie sang really well but it was a good 20 minutes too long and some of the sub plots were boring 6.5/10

Haven't seen it. I did hear Kathy Bates got some sort of award. I'm assuming she protrays Richard Jewell? Was she good as him?theglammerthebetter wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 2:55 pm Richard Jewell (2019) Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde Jon Hamm Kathy Bates, Movie made angry as hell but it still was hard to pull for the guy he was such a retard 7.5/10

Independence Day (1996) 9/10
One of my all time favs but just a question, Russell Casse (played by Randy Quaid) claims that he was abducted by Aliens 10 years before, Do you think this actually happened because the aliens did actually invade and had the captured spaceship and aliens at Area 51 years earlier, which would mean Russel was not really a nutjob but severely traumatised by the events surrounding his abduction???

Kill the Irishman 9/10. Excellent movie about mobster Danny Greene. Not to be confused with Scorsese’s overrated snooze fest, this movie presents an outstanding story of a kinda decent man whose life story was actually enjoyable to watch. Shed a couple of tears at the end.
Nice surprise playing on Netflix, so definitely check it out.

"The Trial of the Chicago 7" - 9/10
Fantastic movie. As good as Aaron Sorkin's best work. Performances and writing are tremendous. Definite Oscar contender.

Hadn't watched a movie in a little while. Was just in a funk and couldn't get excited about it. Decided to just dive into a few.
"King of Staten Island" - 7/10
I gotta say, this is really good. Good writing, good acting by the cast, especially people known more for comedy like Pete Davidson, Maude Apatow and Bill Burr. I was very pleasantly surprised. It runs a bit long, but overall a pretty good movie.
"Mank" - 8/10
I'm going a little bit higher for an 8 rating because Fincher always makes inventive films (from an unproduced script written by his dad). I've heard some criticism from friends about it, but what exactly were people thinking? Fincher made the Fincher version of an old Hollywood movie. The direction, writing and acting really crackle (even if Oldman doesn't look 42) and it looks terrific.

Running Scared (2006) Good movie. That is only a 10 minute segment.vanitybinge wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 5:38 pm What movie is this?
A boy of about ten runs away from whatever and jumps in the back of someone’s truck. It’s full of toys. The owners open the door and find the kid, and take them to their home.
The kid manages to somehow sneak a cell phone call from the bathroom using a pill bottle to give his mom the address. Mom shows up and shoves her way into the house, the man insisting the kid isn’t there, mom finds a closet full of body bags, lots of toys but no kids, realizes this normal looking couple is a pair of psychopaths and kills them.
That’s al I remember.
