By this I mean it is such a non-story
This is another case of sensationalism on behalf of the media, and they know full well what he meant. They even had to add the ellipsis to shorten the quote so it became less clear what he meant.
If you don't think that this:
"Well, we're going to have to see what happens. You know that I've been complaining very strongly about the ballots and the ballots are a disaster," Trump said, when asked if he could commit to the peaceful transition.
"Get rid of the ballots and you'll have a very ... there won't be a transfer, frankly. There'll be a continuation."
is bullshit, I really don't know what to tell you. He's been sowing the seeds of "you can't trust the ballots, you can't trust the USPS" for months, now. How do you take these comments any other way than "no, if it doesn't go my way, I'll obviously be fighting it." He's going to jam through a Supreme Court Justice so that he can have a majority of them rule that there's ballot fraud, tampering, etc. Mark my fucking words.
This is a lifelong politician, whether he was actually in politics or not. When a reporter asks you if you're committed to a peaceful transition of power, and you say anything but yes, you're fucking with shit. Period.
Here's the actual quote, from the man's mouth -

Straight up evasive, for a reason. Duh.
"If you get rid of the ballots, there won't be a transfer."
Are you fucking kidding me? Sensationalism, my ass.
