Trump seems to me like a more evil, insidious version of Chauncey Gardner. He's at the center of all this fervent debate all the way up to the most erudite political minds of our time, all of whom could mentally leave him in the dust with a couple of sentences, particularly if the syllables of their words go over three.

I love watching the round table discussions on Face The Nation where they wrestle with all the advanced and intricate workings of politics/government and the main focus usually revolves around Trump, who himself would be lost as a fucking goose if he were participating in the forum.

This whole thing is like some kind of comedy skit that's only humorous because it's so nightmarish.

Trump, who has spent his life in liberal New York City, referenced gay Republicans at the Republican National Convention, and said transgender people should use whatever bathroom they feel comfortable using during his campaign.

But in the heat of the Republican presidential primary, he also said gay marriage should have been decided by the states, and said he would consider appointing judges to overrule the Supreme Court’s marriage decisions.

“I would strongly consider that, yes,” he said in a January Fox News interview.

“It’s law,” he said in an interview with CBS’ ‘60 Minutes’ that aired Sunday. “It was settled in the Supreme Court. I mean it’s done.”

I wonder how his VP feels right about now?

Sad. January 20th will prove how far we've sunk in America when the asshole elected as president was what some Americans believed to be the best choice for their candidate.

Too bad stare decisis doesn't apply to Roe. Recent Republicans haven't had a terrific record of appointing reliably conservative/constructionist justices, though. With Scalia's vacancy up for grabs and Ginsburg and Breyer on the outs, here's hoping he nets us another Souter, O'Connor, and/or Kennedy. That's essentially the same league Garland was in anyway.

Army veteran says free burger taken away by Chili's manager after service questioned

Cedar Hill - An army veteran says he was embarrassed and insulted when his free Veteran’s Day meal was taken away from him.

He recorded the interaction as a Chili’s manager in Cedar Hill questioned his service and took away his free burger.

U.S. Army Veteran Ernest Walker says he was 16 and homeless when he enlisted, and the military changed his life. He feels disrespected and wants the company to validate his service.

Walker says he and his service dog, Barack, went into Chili's in Cedar Hill for a free burger on Veteran's Day. He says his military service was questioned, and then this happened...

Manager: "I'm so sorry. You didn't provide any documents to me."

Walker: "Yes I did provide documents to you.”

Walker says a manager at the Chili's snatched his to-go box, saying Walker could not prove he is a veteran.

But Walker says he showed him his DD214 and his driver's license, which he also showed FOX 4 Sunday.

He believes it was another customer, an elderly white man, also a veteran, who doubted him.

"He said, 'Well, I was in World War II in Germany and they didn't have any blacks over there then.’ He's an older guy so I let that stuff go,” said Walker.

Moments later was the confrontation with the manager.

"He says that we have guests that say you are not a legitimate military veteran," said Walker.

Walker says the man who approached him first was wearing a Donald Trump campaign sticker. He feels it is no coincidence it happened days after Trump's election.

"I believe if it wasn't for the temperature of America right now, I believe that man would have never reacted that way, because I think he's probably a good person,” said Walker.

Walker posted the video to Facebook, and it's since gotten the attention of Chili's.

A company spokesperson released this statement:

"Our goal is to make every guest feel special and, unfortunately, we fell short on a day where we serve free meals as a small token to honor our Veterans...We are taking this very seriously and the leaders in our company are actively involved with the goal of making it right."

Walker's attorney, Kim Cole, says she is meeting with Chili's general counsel Monday, and one of the company's attorneys has apologized.

"She felt really bad that Mr. Walker had this experience," said Cole.

West Virginia mayor and non-profit director in hot water after calling Michelle Obama an ape

CLAY COUNTY, W.Va (WSAZ) -- Two Clay County women are under intense criticism after a Facebook post launched outrage on social media. Screenshots of the post have been shared thousands of times.

The post came from Pamela Taylor, a woman who works as the director at the Clay County Development Corporation in Clay, a non-profit organization that is funded by state and federal funds.

Following the results of the presidential election, Taylor posted the following on her Facebook page: "It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified First Lady in the White House. I'm tired of seeing an ape in heels."

Beverly Whaling, the Mayor of Clay, responded to the post saying "Just made my day Pam."
Image

Now there is a petition with nearly 2,000 signatures, as of Sunday night, to have both women fired from their jobs.

Taylor's post has since been deleted and was replaced with an apology. Taylor has edited the apology in an attempt to make it "more direct and clear, and in a hope to make it less inflammatory," she tells WSAZ. She provided WSAZ with both the edited and unedited versions of the apology post. You can find the edited version by clicking on the featured link.

Taylor says she has been reprimanded at her job and is unsure whether she will be able to keep her position. She was also on Clay County's pageant festival committee but tells WSAZ she does not hold any leadership positions in pageantry.

Taylor says she is working with her attorney to file a lawsuit against individual(s) who have slandered her.

She says she is sorry for everything that has happened but says she now believes the situation has turned into a "hate crime against me."

Taylor says both she and her children have received death threats.

WSAZ has made numerous attempts to reach Mayor Whaling for comment, but those attempts have been unsuccessful so far.

Yes because she wouldn't lie to try and garner sympathy and take away the fact she's a dumb bitch who, thanks to her own stupidity, is now being called out because she was idiotic enough to put her racist views out on social media and not expecting to be called out on it in Drumpf's 'Murica..

IMO, he is terrified. I think it finally sunk in that he was campaigning to the the #1 honcho in America. Believe me, the guy is not qualified for this job
and his staff will be just as unqualified. Trump is going to make Bush look like Ronald Reagan.

Well I'm always willing to admit when I'm wrong... I thought for sure if Drumpf lost he would have called for an end to the electoral college like he did in 2012, but instead you have California Dem Barbara Boxer trying to introduce legislation to abolish the ECV and go with the popular vote.. Good guess, just wrong party this time.

Great idea folks, you open up the gates to a flood of write ins for Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian or one of the Walking Dead actors.....

Don't like the election outcome? Here's a better idea, quit nominating idiots as your party's choice for president and expect people to vote for them..
