Not as many big laughs as the first two but still more laughs than most movies they market as comedies. It seemed to me that the cast is getting a little old and tired of it and a lot of their hysterical laughing at dumb shit was forced.
They are looking kinda bored. But the film made $50 million. Guess there will be a 4th.

And no Party Boy? WTF? I'd pay $15 just to see him.
No party boy!!!? shit.

Police Academy 2 - 5: 2/10

Age is no excuse, I think I was retarded in the 80s. I have no other explanation for having had semi-decent memories of these abominations.

Gran Torino - 8/10 stars. This was a excellent movie IMO. I liked all the characters I thought they were all believable, the dialogue was great and realistic. The story was good and solid. A really good movie from Clint Eastwood.

King Of New York. Everyone died. Walken is always good, but the unintentional comedy is what makes the movie. Wesley Snipes and David Caruso? Non-stop hilarity.

It's a prequel, it sucks, it has twice as much action as the first film...so about 20 seconds worth compared to the original's 10 seconds worth...90% of the shots in the trailer do not appear in the film...the dog is the most likable character...I am glad I didn't pay money for it.

The typical movie going public, the suckers that they are...it's on target to do $50+ million this weekend, probably outgrossing the record breaking weekend of Jackass last weekend...It did $20 million on Friday alone...expect it to have a steep drop on Sunday, like Jackass did...but still...on a budget of a Subway foot long....that is some nice change.

Fuck, the American movie going audience are a bunch of rubes.

The Box 6/10 i didn't think i was going to like this one at all because i hate Cameron Diaz, but this movie was actually good. pretty simple concept - horribly disfigured dude shows up at your house with a box. in the box is a button. push the button, you get a million in unmarked bills, free and clear. but someone, somewhere, that you do not know will die. sounds like a no-brainer, but there were a lot of interesting twists and turns along the way.

Saw the new Pablo Escobar doco (SINS OF MY FATHER) at the Mex Film Festival last night....was interesting, different from the usual true crime doco as it focuses on Escobar's son and his battle to avoid following in his father's footsteps, and his attempts to connect with the sons of two of the politicians that his father murdered during the infamous Columbia cocaine war of the 1980s. 7/10

Day before saw THE TOWN, soild if unspectacular crime drama, Ben Affleck is a pretty decent director. 6.5/10

Cloverfield was on FX last night. Never saw it before. Will never see it again. I've never rooted more for the monster in any monster movie. I wanted every single character, especially the camera douch to die horrifically.

Get Him To The Greek- 3/5. I only watched half of it and I figure it'd be about a 6 so I'll go with the 5 system. Was too tired to sit through the whole thing and I'm honestly not sure I'll bother.

Boogie Man: The Lee Atwater Story-8/10.

Fascinating stuff. Jesus, some of those pictures of him toward the end were hard to look at. Nice to hear Gov't Mule in the soundtrack.

The Town 8.5/10 Really good movie. Not the most original characters on planet earth, but a great hiest movie. Ben Affleck is turing into a pretty good filmmaker considering how bunk or an actor he was in the 00's

Hereafter.

Disappointed. 4/10

Too slow. Too long. Not enough substance. It started out promising, but it fell flat.

Wait for the DVD.

I've been to a few the last couple months so here is the rundown:

The Town: 4/5 stars
This is probably my favorite movie of the year so far, although I still think the big job at the climax was a little too brazen for a gang that already had the police on hot their tail.

Machete:4/5 stars
I got to admit, I liked this more a lot more than I thought I was going to.
Machete delivers!!!!! This could possibly edge out The Town as my favorite movie this year.

Paranormal Activity 2: 2.5/5 stars
Had a few good jump scares in it, which are really effective especially in a crowded theater, but that was about it.

Jackass 3D: 2.5/5 stars
Like this a lot better than part 2, which had way too much slong shots.

Stone: 1.5/5
For a movie with DeNiero and Norton in it, this was surprisingly dull and boring at times. But man, Milla Jovovich is friggin hot!!!

Case 39: 2/5
Average horror flick.

Devil: 2/5
See Case 39.
Yorgi: Now that buisness is finished, We party. Kolya!!!

Kolya: Bitches, come!!!!

Religulous- 4/10.

I like Bill Maher just fine, but this was a silly movie. I prefer Larry Charles' work with Sacha Baron Cohen to this by quite a lot.

Despicable Me - Watched the 3D version today with three of my nieces, it's fantastic! Even though it's a kids film, there were parts that adults were laughing at too. Highly recommend it - 10/10.
