I think it's more that the crime has to be AGAINST a minority for it to be celebrated.

Neely had access to housing and health care at a Bronx treatment facility as well, which he abandoned after 13 days. Once he severed ties, his family didn't care that much until he was killed. You can't help people who don't want to be helped.

Depends on how big a threat Jordan Neely was. Even then it’s probably not the best idea to choke out the guy unless you know for sure your own life is in danger. From what I’ve seen now, Daniel Penny’s life didn’t exactly seem to be that much in danger, anyway. Really, this is a debate that could go on for years, but I personally think Penny was the one who was most at fault here.
