Australia - 6/10. It was better when it was named Once Upon a Time in the West.

The Social Network - 7/10

Whoever made this flick did a great job of making every single character totally unlikable.

I watched it too. Thought it was okay, but kind of boring. There's enough white trash IRL, don't really need to see a documentary on them. After watching it, I kept catching myself talking all redneck though.

You can come over here and talk all redneck to me.

I haven't watched any movies lately.

The Bad and The Beautiful - 7/10

Gloria Grahame's part in this one rocks, and Lana Turner is great as the damaged alcoholic underachieving actress.

5/10 Cute but too damn long. Almost two hours, to be exact. Sheesh. :?

'Extreme Measures' starring Andy Garcia and Michael Keaton (1997)

4/10. This movie sucked. The one where the killer is the only organ donor for his kid who needs an operation. More or less a rip-off of Silence of the Lambs. I turned it off half way through. By trying to save his bratty little kid, Andy Garcia manages to get several other people hurt and killed in the process.

Four Lions- The more I think about it, the more I like it. Definitely have mixed feelings, though. 6/10. Some very funny lines.

Do you mean the creature? I like them. The white ones are nice. I'm not just saying that because you're German.

The Next Three days: 7/10.
Probably a good thing I never watched the original. Crowe does a good job as usual.

Trainspotting:10/10.

American Ninja 1: 9/10
I wanted to re-watch this to see if it still holds up. It does. Great acting, great writing, and a shit load of ninjas.

Bud Spencer and Terence Hill's "Two Missionaries": I'm not sure how to rate this. The action parts still amuse me so they could have went the porn way and ditch any kind of plot, just get to the good stuff.
Anyway, I didn't realize when I was a kid that this was dubbed. I didn't know they were Italians.

Bud Spencer and Terence Hill were, and still are, huge in Germany too. I doubt anybody gave their real origin any thought as kids. The German dubbing still makes them entertaining as hell to me today, most dialogue apparently differs a lot from the originals. In those days before political correctness there was nobody more vulgar, blasphemous, racist, and funny. Whoever wrote Bud Spencer's parts taught me how to cuss.

Lean On Me - 6/10
Surprised a movie that got so much praise had such a generic script.
Freeman was awesome as usual.

Well they are Italian... What you said could easily describe Berlusconi.

I think I'm gonna get some of their other movies but it seems that even the Italian versions are dubbed, wtf? I googled them and turns out the fat fuck was an Olympic swimmer.
Also his stage name was an homage to Budweiser. Just thought,as a drunk yourself, that you'd like that.

The Czech Budweiser, though, I think.

I hear whales are pretty fast too. Don't judge swimmers from their faggy physiques only.

Battle Los Angeles
8/10

Went in expecting a total Sci-Fi story and it turned out to be a pretty good military / war movie. A good background story for Aaron Eckharts character, and a good bit of story with Michael Pena and his child being saved by the Marines.

Battle Los Angeles: 2/10
I never knew a war movie could be so friggin' boring and dull. And I'm leaving the sci-fi element out of this, because that's really only a gimmick, because the aliens and all that crap are basically afterthoughts in this mess. I almost fell asleep during this and about 15 minutes in started seriously contemplating walking out and going into another movie down the hall.
Its like someone compiled all the war movie cliches and went down the checklist checking off each one as the movie progressed.
This easily the worst movie I've seen so far this year.
...it was a little better than the friggin' mess of a movie Skyline, which was the worst movie I saw last year. I think I've had enough of these type of doomsday movies.

You mean the millionth time wasn't a charm on the earth invasion genre?

Waiting - 6 out of 10. I give it props as it's basically my life story having grown up in the service industry.

National Geographic: Vietnam's Unseen War: Pictures from the Other Side
Documentary about the Vietnamese photographers in the war. It's very well done, really fascinating. It's simply the photographers telling their own stories and showing their photographs and it's very moving. It's available on Netflix instant streaming.

Rango:
Took the kids to see this one. I hate kids' movies, but this one is not bottom of the barrel awful. It was watchable, parts of it were even entertaining. A little long for that kind of movie, though.

Great fucking action movie
The fighting scene between Willis and that other dude at the CIA offices was great.

Rango- Took the kids. Thought it looked cool from the trailers and since we have had a few chams. The visual effects were very good but the movie fucking sucked. I was close to falling asleep. The kids were bored. It just didnt have a good enough story to keep the kids or myself interested. Dont waste your money.

The Dirty Dozen: The Fatal Mission - Telly Savalas, Heather Thomas, Jeff Conaway, Erik Estrada, John Matuszak, Ernest Borgnine, Ray 'Boom Boom' Mancini.....

Yeah it's a 10/10 - Entertaining just for the actors alone. Hell, with that cast I'm surprised they finished the fucking film. For a late 80's flick it sure had an early 80's feel.
