It was your typical "I was a deadbeat artist, I did heroin, it fucked up my life, and I regret it" story, but the couple's relationship was interesting enough to keep my attention, there were a few little twists I didn't see coming, and some of the shots were just very pretty to look at.
I liked that one too, but as a drug movie it just sucks. Classic shit like bringing the overdosing bitch back to life by shooting her up with fucking salt water.

The Rite (2011) 4/10 Not really scary...worth a buck from Red Box. Funny scene with Anthony Hopkins answering his cell phone while in the middle of performing an exorcism.

Super 8 - 9/10. Super awesome. There were a couple of things I didn't like about it, but they were minor.

It wasn't bad and it kept me interested but I thought the ending wasn't all that great.

Jack goes boating(2010) starring and directed by Phillip seymour hoffman

I watched some of Inception last night, but got kind of tired of it after about 40 mins. This movie was made 12 years ago, and was called The Matrix (but that had more action.) I thought the whole dream thing was kind of stupid too. OMG the buildings are falling down again...whatever. 7 out of 10.

I watched it last night too, and I'd say 6.5/10.

It was alright, but the beginning dragged. I also saw Shutter Island a while ago, which had Leonardo DiCaprio as almost the exact same character, so that was annoying. I've had enough of him being haunted by his dead wife already.

The layering of the action and effects were cool, but the plot was kind of stupid, and the thing with his wife was a little melodramatic for me.

Hangover Part II-6.5/10. Not as good as the original (are they ever?) but I still LOL'd many times, as did the rest of the theater. After we left the theater, we spent the rest of the evening randomly saying to one another, "I don't understand. Is this a magic show?"

Next up: Super 8. Kind of wanted to see it yesterday but was outvoted. After we saw the preview, though, everyone decided that would be our next rainy day movie.

The Disappeared 7.5/10 older brother having party while watching younger brother, younger brother gets kidnapped from playground...we've seen it before. after older brother gets out of loony bin he starts hearing younger brother's voice. it's not above going for the cheap scare but most of the time is more of a slow burn. speaking of burning, it was disturbing seeing a very un-Malfoyish Tom Felton smoking a joint. anyway, in spite of falling into predictability, being dreadfully slow in some points, and leaving one huge question unanswered it's definitely worth a watch.

Watched The Fisher King again last night and loved it as usual. Probably the 4th or 5th time for me. Gets a little sappy in some places, a little silly in others but goddamn I love that movie.

The Comebacks (2007) - with David Koechner, Bradley Cooper, Andy Dick, Will Arnett, Dax Shepard, Carl Weathers. Football comedies can either be fairly good or really terrible. This one was terrible. 1/10.

A Christmas Proposal - 5/10. All five points go to Nicole Eggert, who even in her "fat" days makes this otherwise incredibly shitty TV movie somewhat enjoyable.

Peggy Sue Got Married - 7/10. Could this actually be Nic Cage's goofiest role ever?

Just Go With It - 7/10. Generic romantic comedy that's neither romantic or funny, but Brooklyn Decker, Jennifer Aniston, and Nicole Kidman are hot enough. The latter is actually pretty funny, come to think of it.

William S. Burroughs: A Man Within - 9/10. I liked it.

Zombie Girl: The Movie - also a 9/10. The girl was cute and managed to act like a kid without coming across as a spoiled brat or really annoying.

I like movies with punctuation marks in the title.

edited to fix embarrassing spelling.

Super 8 - I was hoping for more monster, less kids. Saw this in one of the fake IMAX theaters & it was concert-level loud. Great special effects, none of the cgi was so fake that it takes you out of the scene. Still, too much kids...6/10.
