The irony of any movie that has the word last and 2 in it.Hurls34 wrote:Last Exorcism 2 : 5/10
The original really surprised me, because I rented it thinking it was gonna suck, but didn't. This sequel, however, is a lot like friggin' Book of Shadows, minus the two hot chicks in it. It was still enjoyable for what it was but a far cry from the first one.
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

End of Watch 10/10
It's set up like a reality docu-drama, and it's almost believable. If you know me you know I hate modern cop & robber movies, bunch of pretentious fucking douchebag holier-than-thou knowitalls and almost no likeable characters, well not this movie. The two main characters are LAPD street cops who come off as real guys with real charisma, it's easy to like them and makes the situations they get into much more exciting and intense.
Easily the best cop movie I've seen in a long fucking long fucking long fucking time.

Surviving The Game (1994) starring Ice T, Rutger Hauer, and Gary Busey. 7.5/10. Re-watch and just as-good -as-ever.
Th Mirror Crack'd. (1980) starring Angela Lansbury, Elisabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and Tony Curtis. 7/10. Yea...the bitch picked it out but all-star cast and decent murder mystery.

The Call - 6/10
This had potential, but seemed to just change gears at the end.
The ending completely drops the supporting characters and storyline and isn't logical considering the preface of the movie. I got the feeling they went over budget or over time and just filmed an ending to get it over with.
But it wasn't what I expected, so I'll give it the shock factor.

And the "movie and a bowl" feature this week IS...
The Amazing Spiderman - 8/10
I actually really enjoyed it... I liked the touch of humor they threw in.. gave it a cartoon spiderman feel... but I just didn't like that it veered a little too far in the setup. I felt a little disconnected from the character too. Maybe a little too much modern twist.
But, overall.. really good.

Slender Man - 8/10
Cheap-ass, low budget POV shot "docu-thriller". This flick was so cheap that there is a message at the end to "Feel Free to Share Anywhere and Everywhere"
lol..
I loved it.
You probably have to play the video game to really get the "scare the shit out of you" effect from this... I played with my daughter last summer and loved it.

You're right. I've been sick and clearly not up to such important task. Then again, that movie is a total sausage fest and Indians don't have proper names or faces to remember anyway.
In happier news, I've also had time for a thorough obscure Nic Cage movie marathon that may just require its own thread. I think I've now seen every single piece of shit movie he's had a part in up to 2000. And I found some unexpected fucking treasures, to say the least.

While not really obscure, I'm a huge fan of Wild at Heart. I'm curious to know what you thought of Deadfall.

I know, I hate the glut of zombie movies based in the African desert.

Movie's pretty awesome, IMO.

Curious as to what's so awesome. All the zombies have the same eyes. They all walk at a snails pace unless they are behind the truck or their legs are cut off. No one can hear them coming even when they're walking through brush. Story takes too long to go nowhere. No new or interesting gore.John Simon Ritchie wrote:Facedown wrote:The Dead - 3/10

So This Is 40. It gets a 0.5 / 10 . One of the worst films i have ever had to sit through. Long, boring, dull and idiotic. "The Pest" was a better film than this pile of shit.
